These are series 2 "budget" (primarily made for lower income kids) dinosaurs but I really like them as they are closer to the actual size that a Velociraptor would be. The ones in the books/movies are WAY too big and were initially supposed to be Deinonychus (a related species that actually were that big) until Crichton decided that "Velociraptor" was a much scarier name. These "budget" figures are less than half the size of the standard Velociraptor figures.

I usually do not bother with the repaints any longer, but made an exception as this "budget" line is usually much harder to find than anything in the main line. A year or so back, Five Below and Big Lots had them and I bought every single Velociraptor (both "Blue" and the generic orangy one) I saw across multiple stores. I also bought a dozen of the tiny Indominus Rex and 1 each if the 2 T-Rexes (brown and green) as well as the Stygimoloch. This year's first release was "Blue" (same as every previous year), a Therizinosaurus (I bought 12) and a Giganatosaurus (I bought 6). The second release are these same 3 but adds in repaints of the Velociraptor (the ones I got today), T-Rex (similar to the very first release) and the Stygimoloch. I never saw the very first year of these figures, but through reissues and repaints, I got all of the individual species from that year except for the Indoraptor

While grocery shopping at Walmart this morning, I found this set of tiny fossil models (complete with display bases) in the Halloween section in a floor display of small non-candy items.

The detail is pretty basic, but they work for diorama builders wanting to fill out a paleontologist's office, museum or even a kid's room.

They come 6 in a bag for $1.98 +tax ($2.11 in NJ) and I got 4 unique models and 2 duplicates. They only had 1 bag that I saw in the display (I didn't check the 2 bottom rows of baskets as I was not wearing my knee braces and kneeling without them is painful) so I do not know if there are any other models or different pack out ratios in other bags. The addition of a display base is actually pretty classy and not something I expected from cheap items meant to be given to trick-or-treaters.

Amazon had a bunch of Halo stuff on sale (the Flood Tank & Chief pack was supposed to come with this lot, but got delayed) - between the sales and my Amazon reward points, this bunch of stuff and the Flood 2pack only cost me about $75.

Glad I waited on the Mantis until it was "clearance" priced - what a clunker that thing turned out to be. The right arm was assembled backwards and I ended up snapping it while trying to fix it. But at least I have it rigged up where it works now. Would've been pissed if I had payed full price for it.

I found the Hot Wheels KITT Concept last week. Pretty happy about finding it. Wondering why they came up with that, and haven't made KITT from the 2008 Knight Rider show.
Also found (picture coming) a KITT/KARR 2-pack.

I keep saying, grab those Hot Wheels celeb type vehicles now, before they rerelease them in a year at 5x the price on a bigger card as a "deluxe" edition.

After work Family Dollar score!

This is a real blast from the past as it has been quite a long time since actual Chap Mei "Pirates" product has been on the shelves in America!

This set has the cave mini playset that I do not believe ever actually made it to the states before so it warranted the pick up.

I bought a lot of things for Xmas today. GameStop had all clearance an additional 50% off, I needed up with alot of random trinkets.

Target and Walmart continue to surprise me with clearance, as I picked up the legends sabretooth for $12 at target. Wal mart I got a flint, alley viper and fisto from he man for $12 each.

Ross I scored a bunch of 6” fortnite figures, most were in the $12 range.

Had to run out and cash a check, so we hit Walmart and Dollar General. Limited funds so I really couldn't get much, but I did find the mini dino skeletons and the Micro Figurine & Comic at Walmart and Authentics Arcee at DG.

Got home to have a JvC Viper arrive in the mail.

Today's Walmart score!

Zurg was on clearance as someone had popped the straps holding his arms down and must have been playing with it and didn't but it.

The skeletons are great aside from their bendy tails (not a fan of bendy stuff). They are pretty big and were only $4.88 each. The dinosaurs I have seen before but the Griffen is new.
