Thanks! I wish it was a new skill level, but I got to say it's the phone I've been using. I wasn't happy to stop using my camera, but this thing "fixes" nearly every shot. That gives me more time to play with filters and text stuff.

i could really use some thoughts on freddy.

#1 how is the size of his claw hand? i still need to glue the best one and paint.
#2 should i dirty him up more ore try to dull him some how?
#3 anything you see wrong? i haven't had any feedback on him and don't know if i'm lost in the weeds.

since last seen i have sculpted neck and waist, swapped in a emperor left hand, and painted everything but the glove hands. paint was started with a light coat of matte clear spray, then many rounds of acrylic, after that sealed with a new can of semi gloss. hopefully the shine will wear in like jason has, but the semi gloss seems shinier than the gloss i was trying to replace. i made myself leave him on the stand so i don't get the best pics before he's ready.

Other then the shine that looks great. The hand looks very cool, I love that you’re using real metal for the claws.

Originally I thought it looked large but I compared it to some screen shots of Freddy and it’s not.

I just trimmed about 1/16 off the back end of his fingers and glued them on. Probably not enough to tell.

I also shortened the "needles" on the other to look more inline with pics from that scene too.

That got me tearing apart that first raven based claw hand. I was just going to gore it up, as like a stunt claw. Now I thing I'm going to have it in another pose.

I tried reading up on dulling a gloss coat, but everything I found was for wood or cars. So I just sprayed him with that matte. I went pretty light, but I think it's a little less shiney. I'll let it fully dry before I try pics.

a quick look at how i made the blade gloves. this was version 3 or 3.5.

i started with some long nail gun staples and flattened the tips

then i put them in a pen vise to shape them

here you can see how i used steel pins to mount the blades/heatshrink. also how i used another pin to assemble the "fingers off the hand.

after masking off the blades and 3 rounds of paint. here are my best shots so far.

Anyone have suggestions for iconic poses for Freddy? Feel free to post pics or links. I don't have the parts for the bathtub scene though lol

I do plan on digging out "spooky house" for some October fun.

My needle glove didn't turn out as good as the other 2 glove hands. I need some thinner needle bits.

How are you getting the fantastic sheen on the legs/pants? Metallics mixed into the paints?

Freddy's legs were sprayed with a flat clear then brown acrylic. I sprayed the whole painted figure with semi gloss, then later some overspray of flat got on his pants again when I sprayed the torso. You can see big globs of clear on his thighs facing forward . It kind of looks like grimy oil or splatter.

New wip Preds using the Batman base figures. I'm not real happy with the maskless Batman one yet. I'm gonna swap thighs back on him. Also working on that frost giant based pred still.
