[Oh right, the "Retro" figures.
Yes, that line. Pretty neat figures. I wish that the Secret Wars line had been like that back in the days.
They should cost $10, not $18. At this point, the industry is pricing kids out of the action figure business.
I've seen the Marvel figures at Target for around $12.
The Reaction G.I.Joe's are closer to $20, which is way too much for a 5 POA figure.
still too much considering fully articulated Marvel Universe were at $12
the Reaction ones are bizarrely overpriced too
At this point, I think all adult collectors need to accept that labor and material costs have gone up...and corporations are beholden to their stockholders--who do not give two poops and just want the line to always be going up.
MU figures were 12$....6 years ago now. It's not the same world.
Super 7 raised the price on ReAction figures to $20 now...Lots of figures I want...but not at that price....speaking of Price..I will buy the new Vincent Price ReAction figure though.
We are not alone. Some Super 7 figures have been clearanced out at Target. With the price going up, it just means more clearance toys later on. People are going to realize "wait, buy this one figure, or 3 gallons of gas to get to work?".
Heck, the stuff might even show up at the discount stores. I've seen plenty of G.I.Joe, Marvel Legends, DC, Star Wars, etc., etc., at Ross over the years.
