Don't call it a comeback...

...well, I guess you could call it a comeback in a way.

I never really went anywhere. You could say I just took a step back into the shadows and brooded. I haven't posted customs since about 2017 but I never stopped working on stuff and by working I mean mostly starting things and not finishing them or in other instances, finishing things but not posting them. My goals this year are to finish a great deal of my huge backlog of WIPs I started, some of which were started as far back as 2010 and post more of my finished work. I hope to continue to amaze, astound, and inspire with my posts and I also wanted to say thanks to all those whom have reached out to me and encouraged me put myself back out there. You guys are awesome and I'll never forget.

Anyhow, here's my first one back into the fold:

Colonel Grimm - COBRA Blue Berets Commander

Image

Parts used:
Head - MU Drax
Torso and waist - Custom cast
Upper Arms - Wild Bill 00
Lower Arms - Backblast 89
Upper Legs - HEAT Viper 93
Lower Legs - Hit & Run 88
AK-74 rifle, Desert Eagle pistol and Spiked knuckle knife - Marauder Inc.,

Colonel Grimm is an ex- Colonel in the US Army Special Forces. A former member of the elite Green Berets, he was a military advisor training soldiers in the use of guerrilla warfare and later worked in black ops with his own team of professional soliders that carried out covert missions behind enemy lines. A fearsome man with a permanent scowl, he earns a ruthless reputation from his brutal and aggressive ambush tactics and the high body count they produce. As a hardened combat veteran that spent many years fanatically honing his deadly skills on the battlefield, Colonel Grimm relishes every opportunity he gets to fully display them, always looking for the next adversary to vanquish. Although considered by his superiors to be a highly valued asset, they had growing concerns over his increasingly harsh methods. Arrogant and ambitious, his thirst for conquest led him to form a plan to overthrow the goverment of an island nation in the South Pacific with his private army and take it as his own. The plan was eventually exposed but before action could be taken against him, Colonel Grimm and his men disappeared when the plane that carried them apparently crashes in the Pacific Ocean and are presumed dead.
Sometime later, Colonel Grimm resurfaces alive, only now working for COBRA and leading a team calling themselves the COBRA Blue Beret Commandos. Bringing a new level of savagery with this elite team, his dark ambitions could one day be realized with an organization like COBRA behind him. Colonel Grimm believes victory is achieved only by those ruthless enough to obliterate all obstacles in it's path without hesitation and with his loyal troopers at his side, that spells doom to anyone who crosses their path!

The beret is sculpted on with epoxy putty.

Welcome back! Glad to know you're still out there. Always loved your customs, can't wait to see what else you've got in the works.

Grimm here looks badass. I had to look up that headsculpt to see how it started. The blue beret team is awesome. I like how he has some subtle differences to set him apart from his men. I didn't notice at first that you even modified his AK. Excellent work all around.

This is the kind of stuff Hasbro should be doing for a real o-ring revival.
