Here's a few of the cartoon only Joes/allies & 2 comic characters.

Image
Ok, General "Ironbutt" Austin was actually a character from both the comics and cartoon but this is based more on his toon look.

Image
Honda Lou West was a trucking company owner that was kidnapped by Cobra in order to steal the supplies her trucks were carrying and ended up teaming with a fellow prisoner Roadblock to regain her trucks. I head cannon that after this she ended up joining the Steel Brigade as a Transportation specialist.

Image
Teiko was a Japanese Joes' martial arts trainees under the tutoring of Bazooka and Quick Kick. Her specialty was throwing stars.

Image
In the comics, the original Joe now is now in charge of security for a Strategic Defense Initiative installation hidden inside New York city's Chrysler Building.

Image
And you really can't have GI Joe Colton without GI Jane who is now the head scientist at the SDI Installation.

Image
Up first is Amanda McKnight's Diamond.

Image
Next is Michelle Nguyen Bradley's V3il.

Image
And lastly, here is Alicia Marie's Mugshot.

Made up a set of Steel Brigade characters based around some characters I had come up with back during Custom Celebration 3 & 4. I even modded one of the backstories I had come up with for one of the sets.

After capturing a remote Cobra outpost, the Joes find evidence that Cobra scientist Dr. Venom has developed a new device to activate inactive volcanoes. Cobra them planned to use them in order to black mail the nations of the world to surrender themselves or face their cities becoming a modern day Pompeii. The Joes alerted their allies around the world & sent teams out to the various volcanoes hoping to prevent a disaster.
After hearing of a long dormant Volcano erupting in South America and that a United Nations team had been sent to evacuate the near by populace. Believing this might be a test run (from intercepted scrambled messages) the stretched thin Joe team sends in a Brigade team with two geology expert members among them down to check it out. Upon arrival the two teams meet and stumble upon the Cobra agents. The fight is on.

The first two are new characters with uniforms based off the standard SB uniform where as the other three follow the Red Zone/Rook/Check Point look where they're more personalized but still in SB colors.

Image
Up first is my current Joe-sona Fereality, hand to hand combat trainer/animal handler. Along on the mission as the teams security.

Image
Evac, helo-pilot/medic. Flew the team in and accompanied them as the squad medic.

Image
Spelunker, infantry/mountaineer. A trained free climber with a passion for cave exploration, was sent in case the target was somewhere underneath the mountain range the volcano was a part of.

Image
Granite, intelligence/geologist. A rock collector as a kid, he studied geology while in college on the ROTC track.

Image
Quartz, combat engineer/geophysicist. A former Seabee who used her GI Bill to study her passion, Mother Earth.

It's been awhile since I've made up any of these. I mostly have been refining some ideas, thinking of some others, etc...

Hi-Tech, BF2K Operations Support Specialist
Attachment:

Hi-Tech, BF2K Operations Support Specialist.JPG [ 112.29 KiB | Viewed 11232 times ]

I was looking at the Battle Force 2000 and realized there was room to introduce more characters to the squad, since military research is ongoing. Decided that Hi-Tech could easily switch over and be the crewman/gunner behind Blocker in the Eliminator. I figure he could use his position to coordinate the six vehicles when in combat.

Phalanx, BF2K Pulverizer Driver
Attachment:
Phalanx, BF2K Pulverizer Driver.JPG
Phalanx, BF2K Pulverizer Driver.JPG [ 129.88 KiB | Viewed 11232 times ]

I never liked the idea of non-BF2K personnel operating future force type vehicles, and decided to add a dedicated driver for the Pulverizer. Phalanx is a Munitions Specialist, a needed specialisation for a team that is supposed to be field-testing the newest US Military prototypes. Whether it be explosives, ammunition, artillery shells, or weapons capable of delivering multiple rounds downrange really fast, Phalanx is always waiting for the big KABOOM! This character was one I just came up with over the weekend and ran it by Spectre for his input.

Volare, BF2k Dragonhawk XH-1 Pilot
Attachment:
Volare, BF2K Dragonhawk XH-1 Pilot.JPG
Volare, BF2K Dragonhawk XH-1 Pilot.JPG [ 140.01 KiB | Viewed 11232 times ]

I had the initial design for Volare completed back in September, but altered to have small backpack mounted rocket pods. I had reasoned a female BF2K member might add a new dynamic to the squad. Later I realized the BF2K was lacking in close air support, so I took a look at the JOE vehicles and rationalized the Dragonhawk was future tech enough to work as a legit BF2K vehicle. I then took my female design and slightly changed her design to reflect the flight suit style. A quick rename and I was off.

Right now I need at least one more BF2K character, preferably one to fill the second seat with Blaster in the Vindicator hovercraft vehicle. I always pictured the Vindicator as a mobile medical retrieval unit, quickly entering the battlefield to secure a wounded teammate and exiting just as fast. I usually had Stretcher ride shotgun, but I think a future tech medic would be an interesting choice.

I am also debating if the repainted Polar Battle Bear should be included, along with another pilot for the newest Vector Jet. Oh, mail-away Arctic Dee-Jay with be renamed and become the original Vector Gunner in the rear pod.

So, I have:
Avalanche in the Dominator
Blocker and Hi-Tech in the Eliminator
Dodger and Dee-Jay v1 in the Marauder
Phalanx in the Pulverizer
Knockdown in the Skysweeper,
Maverick and (renamed) Dee-Jay v2 in the Vector
Blaster and and unknown in the Vindicator
Volare in the Dragonhawk XH-1.

Ok, I definitely think Marvin the Martian was an influence for Phalanx ;-) but it looks good.
And Volare/Dragonhawk XH-1 is a great addition to the group.
I could also see the POC Ghost Hawk, Cycle Armor, & Retaliation Tread Ripper joining the BF2000 Battle Bear as new BF vehicles.
The advanced Ghost Hawk & Battle Bear could be seen as prototypes of advanced versions of the classic vehicles.
As for new members Hi-Tech is definitely a good fit & Ashiko would also work. Besides those two, maybe IDW's Brainstorm & Lighthorse, DD's General Rey & Firewall, Hama's Sightline & Joystick could all be up for consideration. Heck Scanner could also be a good possibility.

Some more Hero Forge Joes.

Image
Up first is my take of the 97 dark skinned Rock 'n Roll, Full Bore.

Image
Next is combat engineer I suggested for a Custom Celebration 3 create a TRU set, Patchwork. He was going to be a complete repaint of Outback v3.

Image
Based on my original custom for my character Runjoye.

Finally a couple of SWAT based figures

Image
First is Breacher who is a door kicker.

Image
Secondly is Vidalia, a gas trooper specializing in (as her name implies) tear gas.

I was trying to figure out how to bring Pokemon into my universe (aka a logical reason for them to exist) and I realized the Pokemon could be gentic experiments done by various mad and unethical research scientists. Dr. Mindbender could have experimented on animals using the Venomization process. I could see these creatures being used in illegal underground fighting tournaments and being smuggled into countries that have embargo and trafficking laws.

I figure Ash's nickname was based on an ongoing 'world' he developed as a kid using the D&D rules. Or maybe all these characters he's named are just fictitious creations from this wordld he created in his head.

Ash is big into animal conservation and works to preserve the lives of altered Pokemon in secure areas where they can live out the remainder of their lives in peace.

Think Owen from Jurassic World raiding compounds run by Joe Exotic.

James specializes in industrial espionage, specifically in the medical research field. He works as a team with Jesse. Team Rocket is the public media face of the organization attempting to steal research. The world sees them at sporting events, auto races, conventions, and other venues and believes them to just be Public Relations.

I may not be well-versed in IDW characters, but I appreciate the creativity and detail put into the HeroForge'd Joes. Even without familiarity with the characters, their visual appeal and customization options make them captivating. It's great to see people enjoying and expressing their creativity through such mediums.

For this one, I knew I wanted a different type of mask. Most of the mask options just have the cut out for the eyes. I wanted one that reflected more typical Russian style, with the cut out for the mouth. So, I just added a shape over the mask, colored it the same flesh color, then added the mouth on top.

Vanya, Oktober Guard Sniper

Vanya's Father, a Russian Army Military Advisor, was killed while on a mission in Sierra Gordo. Coincidently, Stalker, Gung-Ho, Ripcord, and Roadblock were also on a mission in Sierra Gordo to rescue Dr. Burkhart.

With its characteristic cutout for the mouth, this one-of-a-kind mask design reflects the essence of classic Russian style. Fm whatsapp

All of these next nine have been done for a very long time, I finally knuckled down and came up with some ideas since I can't sleep right now...

Air Drop, Airborne Assault Trooper (HALO)

His design is based on a character that appeared in one of the Devil's Due issues on a C-130 before (I believe) Duke jumped out.

Bailey, Sentry

Bailey will be manning one of the GIJOE Watch Towers. A Bailey is a part of the interior of a Castle.

Not set on the name, but she will be assigned to Headquarters Command Center

Flatfoot was originally CID, but I changed him to U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command. I figure he could 'moonlight' as a CID Agent as a cover so he can conduct missions for the ACI.

Flatfoot started out as a homage to all those olive drab wearing Army types that tried chasing down the A-Team.

Ghost, Opposing Force

Ghost started out as an idea after seeing that full panel image of Snake-Eyes capturing one soldier while his hapless buddy walks away during a war games exercise. Then I watched a YouTube video about the most hated US military unit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbCxyJ2 ... ForcesNews (Exercise Rattlesnake out of Fort Polk, Louisiana). Plus I liked the idea of having a character be part of a famed military unit dating back to WWII, the 509th Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion.

Ghost is especially hated as he thoroughly enjoys harassing tired troops during the night, stealing weapons and gear, sabotaging equipment, and genuinely making a nuisance of himself. He is not above using the native wildlife to disrupt sleep, leading troops into swamps, and scaring the bleep out of them.

Not 100% on the name, but she works on any of the computers in the PIT or Joe vehicles. I could see her working as one of the mission support staff or maning a computer console during a mission briefing.

Nightshade is character I created a long, long, long time ago, but never had any plan for his design. After seeing the Chuckles character from the 50th Desert Duel set (which I believe I already posted), I quickly altered the head and face to make a new unnamed character at that time. Going through my notes found Nightshade's quick little bio and that was it.

Sarissa, Spearman

Yeah, not sold on it. Was supposed to be cartoon Lady Jaye, before I tried turning into a new character. Was looking up ancient warriors who used spears and found the Hoplites, which always sounded like a 50s doo-wop musical group on American Bandstand.

Anyway, Sarissa is a shorter Greek spear. I figure she had to have been into track and field in high school and her event was naturally the Javelin.

Waybill, Loadmaster
Attachment:
Waybill, Loadmaster.JPG
Waybill, Loadmaster.JPG [ 45.74 KiB | Viewed 11020 times ]

Waybill is one of the key personnel located at the second GIJOE facility hidden under a secure hanger inside McGuire Air Force Base. The underground facility, aka the DUMP (Disbersment Utilizing Military Procedures), allows a nondescript US cargo plane (such as a C-130) to be pulled inside the hanger for loading. This allows for the secure outfitting of vehicles, equipment, and supplies away from the spying eyes of Cobra.

The JOEs simply call ahead from the PIT with the mission parameters, and then embark on a disguised civilian bus for the 66 mile trek to the hanger. They enter a nondescript building outside the perimeter and use a tunnel to enter the DUMP.

This way Cobra spies can't see any possible JOE activity at Fort Wadsworth, like heavy equipment hauling MOBATs or Wolverines down I-95. A small token motor pool is kept at the PIT on Staten Island, but a bigger motor pool is located at the DUMP.

Waybill is part of a small support group that assists the JOEs, rather than a full official team member. She would have had to gain a high security clearance and a plan is in place at McGuire for her when she is not loading equipment. Helping the JOEs is a hush hush operation and is like a very tempory Temporary Duty.

I plan to use a lot of the third party characters (Red Laser's figures) like Odin and Rampage as DUMP personnel.

EDIT:

Also my previously posted unnamed Australian SASR Trooper has been named, Walkabout.
