Wanted to give a quick comparison for the McFarlane 60s Batman playsets, since I just got the Wayne Manor Library in the mail today.

I'm sure I've mentioned/shown this before, but the Batcave set is near-perfectly suited for 1:18 figs (pictured: my custom 1:18 Batman & the Hot Wheels 1:18 Batmobile):

For the 1:12 figs, it's decent with the figures, but not so much with the bigger Batmobile (these are Mattel, not McFarlane, but they're the same size):

I take it back - the backdrop is ok for 6" figs, but the computers/desks don't work at all at that scale:

So naturally, I snagged the Library set thinking it, too, would be underscaled enough to work with my 1:18 customs. I was mistaken.

-even the backdrop is WAY too big to work as a "giant library" set, since the book are so huge.

But with the 6" figs (that were never seen in this setting in the show, just Bruce & Dick in civvies), it's perfect:

So anyways, just wanted to let you all know if any of you were thinking about picking either of these up. I was hoping to put the Library on a shelf above the Batcave, but they just don't work together like they should, imo. Looks like I'll be passing on the Villains' Lair set, now.

Cheers!

I found the Batman 66 Villain's lair for $9 bucks at Target and am wondering how that one works for 1/18th.

I'd seen the villains lair with the 6" figures and it looked like they fixed the scaling issue for it so I held off on the Manor set until they showed it with figures too. Oh well.

Are the accessories on the desk removable? I need a 1/12 desk, but nut the bust, phone, or lamp.

Here are a couple more shots of the Wayne Manor Library set with the new 6" Indiana Jones seated at the desk. To answer the question, yes the accessories are separate from the desk. Not sure how well the desk works for 6" scale figures though. Indy is a bit large for it even in the closer to accurate 1/12 scale that the LFL Hasbro figures are done in.
