I backed the Ghost, too. I've never actually seen an episode of Rebels, but the design of the ship is fantastic. I'll probably do some light custom work on it and give it a custom crew of some sort.

rebels and guardians of the galaxy helped me enjoy star wars again. you should check it out.

Yeah, I jumped on it right away (birthday present to myself for being really old) but am a little disappointed that it slowed to a trickle after getting funded in what - like 3 days? But I get that it's super expensive. Still, Zeb's the only extra I actually wanted, so hoping there's a big push before the campaign ends, but I have a feeling we'll see him down the road in some form given the popularity of the character.

kanan is my favorite jedi, so i hope we get all of them unlocked.

Yes, back the Ghost, get the crew unlocked.

But also, BBTS sent an email that the Mandalorian's N-1 starfighter will be processing soon. So preorders should be in hands pretty soon.

Yeah - just saw the email. Thought for sure I wouldn't see it until next year, so I'm excited. I bought some super-huge industrial shelves at Costco for all the big vehicles I have/are on their way (BMF, Razor Crest, Slave 1, Roboskull, Dragonfly, Ghost, etc) - so once I find a spot to assemble the unit, I'll have the N-1 sitting right next to the Razor Crest. Pretty stoked to get it - especially after many failed attempts to snag an original Naboo starfighter on eBay to customize. Glad I waited.

I've been meaning to check it out for a while now. I'll admit that the animation style really isn't my cup of tea, but I'm curious enough about what little I know of the story that I'll probably watch it pretty soon. Thrawn's presence is a big motivating factor, too.

That's one of the reasons I could never get into the Clone Wars, tbh - the early seasons especially are just... jarring, I guess. Rebels feels like a bit more "evolved" animation style - it's not quite as sharp-edged or funky as Clone Wars. Same with Bad Batch - I can watch them and they still feel like Star Wars to me. And Rebels has a great storyline and characters. Thrawn shows up around Season 3, iirc. And for me, it was great not having to know much, if anything, about the Clone Wars series to enjoy it. Except for Ahsoka & Rex - but tbh, they both feel like different characters in Rebels compared to their CW counterparts (because both are older, more war-wearied, etc.) It's good stuff.

This is good to know. I never quite came around to Clone Wars, either: the later seasons had some interesting episodes, but you said it: it just wasn't Star Wars-y in the way I was hoping for, I guess. I'm glad to hear that wasn't the case for you with Rebels, because that would be a huge improvement.

Ehhhhhhhhhh. If Thrawn is the reason you may be disappointed.

I never read any of his books but was under the impression that Thrawn was a cunning master strategist. He did not live up to that, often coming across as a rebel sympathizer. Like you're supposed to cheer for the ghost crew but they'd be right there for him to capture or blow up and he'd let them get away.

The rest of the show though, is awesome.

I'm pretty sure he let them get away so he could track them down to the rebel bases they went to

I hated the first season of Rebels. Probably because it wasn't Clone Wars after Clone Wars took so long to be consistently good (looking at you whole episodes revolving around the senators). Once Rebels started crossing over with other established characters it became a lot more fun, but then you start caring the characters, and that's when they rip out your heart and step on it.
