Man this sucks. I just got into customizing a little over a year ago. Then I had to move for work and I spent the past year not being able to do anything because there was no space in the apartment. Now that we finally got into a place with more room to work, I see this.

At first was just a "don't worry guys. Prepare to shut down in January - but for only a week" kind of post. But it's worse than that I guess.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge everyone.

wow...says I joined in June 2007, but I know that was a forum reset/upgrade, I was here maybe a few years before that. And yeah I haven't logged on for years at a time, but reading through this thread, seeing old names like chad_ghost, levatine, Grand Slam, etc.(omg who was the old-timer that did all those amazing dios again? he had Spirit as his avatar) damn that brings back memories. So proud to be a part of the inaugural joecustoms awards back in the day. Pluv, you've done an incredible job over the years since taking over from beav. Sad to see this go, but the memories live on.

I haven't visited here in a long time, but it sure makes me sad to see this place go.

My first time meeting any joe fans in person was licked off on this board. TR1ER, Nomad, viperscout, nova, and of course l1zrdking, I met all those guys on here and still talk to them elsewhere.

I also attended Zedcon I, oh man that was an experience. Not sure but harlie may have traveled with me and TR1ER from Indianapolis down there?

Good times, good memories.

Yep. Fun trip. Wish I still had the Beav head and my Zedcon figure but they were lost with the last collection.

someone was asking about how to paint tiger force vehicles, so i tried to get the wiki from here, but the wiki is down.

fortunately webarchive has a snapshot of it. i dont remember from when it's taken, but it will do. there's a few of them to root around in. here's a link to the one i used last weekend:

I still have mine, along with everything I had back then.

I really haven't moved on from O-ring, though I did get into dioramas and posting silly O-ring photos and skits on Instagram in the last year. Still no custom figures from me :brawlin:

Question for pluv - since the gallery is remaining open for submissions, how will one make contact for technical issues with submissions? I'm having such an issue right now, for example, but if the forums no longer exist the most obvious route for getting that resolved will no longer be available.

I'll put my email up. The forums will be in read only mode for while along with a farewell message.

As for right now, I'm trying to upgrade site storage space but also dealing with Covid. That's probably at the heart of the issues you're having.

I do. I followed all that stuff despite not contributing to any of it.

It was a fantastic ride. I will miss the bros, the cooking, and the absurd playmobil-filled diorama stories that still influence me to this day.

Keep it :brawlin: kids.

i remember being on the list of people getting that traveling shipwreck and really wanting to take pictures of him around ucf and orlando, but then the person of that figure's stop disappeared and took the shipwreck figure with them. i was a college kid and i still remember sweating paying for shipping to the next person, but i was going to make it work.

im still kind of pissed about it, honestly.
