I've always wanted this figure as a child and adult. Never been able to get one. So I decided to give him the 25th treatment to fulfill my wanting of the character as well as updating the fig. Wanted to use a different head, but couldn't find one that worked well with the helmet. So I guess this is a LBC with a different paintjob. But a lot more work went into it than you might think.

Sweet!

I've been debating making one - since I never had one either. I finally got a JUMP pad on Ebay a couple of months ago, but decided to use it for my 25A Grand Slam. Still, you've got me thinking I should try my hand at making a 25A Star Duster now....

Why didn't you go for the dark hair look of the original?

The paint I used is actually darker than the pic. Using the flash washes the colors out. Not using the flash doesn't capture the full color scheme. I'm a man with serious camera issues, lol. Seriously though, thanks for the comments.

Great looking figure TR!

What color blue did you use for Starduster's shirt?

only 1 critique. Use Gung Ho's thighs for the frag grenades. Other than that, this is awesome.

Thanks for the comments, guys. This custom went through several paint changes along the way. I initially used Folk Art Jamaican Sea for the shirt and the paints, which was too light. Then I went to Apple Barrel Aquamarine which was too dark. I ended up drybrushing the JS on the AM to get the color shown in the pics. The figure just didn't look right with the same base color pants and shirt, so i opted for the medium gray. Matt, I hadn't thought about the GH thigh, but it's a great suggestion. May have to mod it to work with what I've got. Thanks again for the feedback.

Looks awesome bro!
I just got the 2 fodder figures I needed to make my 25th SD.
I hope he turns out as good as yours did.

It's amazing what a little paint and accessories can do for a figure. Sweet
