Since we have over muscled wrestlers at the 1:18th scale it really seems like almost any franchise can be done at the scale. Wonder if some older franchises like He-Man or Thundercats couldn't get a new shot at life by jumping to the 1:18th scale and things like super articulation.

Sadly some of the things I'd love to see aren't very likely to happen. Always thought Warhammer 40,000 figures would fly off the shelves if they ever did a 1:18th toy line. Space Marines action figures just seemed like something that would have to sell given the cool look of the game figures and since Hasbro has shown what you can do with web gear on the figure they could get insane milage off the mold if Games Workshop ever dipped into the toy market.

Given how the sculpting standards and articulation standards have improved over the years it would be cool if Dungeons and Dragons was back in the toy business. Would have to be some really cool monsters and at 1:18th they could actually afford to do some of the bigger critters at scale. Even World of Warcraft at 1:18th would be a nice addition to get some creatures in the 1:18 scale.

Aw HELL yeah!

But only if they're REAL action figures and not scaled down dolls like so many girl's toys.

Actually that brings up a good question: How come nobody ever makes girl's action figures? Don't they think girls like adventure and articulation? My nieces LOVE GI Joe.

Anyway: I'd like to see Hasbro revive some of those older Kenner and Galoob lines in proper scale. MASK, Centurions, Skyc Commanders, etc.

Lanard brought out the GLOW action figures around 2000-2001, and they flopped.

(I think I still have the ones Cabanajack sent me..)

That's because they were crap.

Another line I would like to see is some decent V figures. Diana, John, Martin, Steven, Security Troopers, Guards, Ham Tyler, Chris, Shuttle, Jeep, Pamela, Brian

I have the entire line and they ARE crap.

Why couldn't they have been female CORPS! figures intstead of a new design?

I just hope that Corgi finds some US distribution for those Harry Potter figures, and they sell REALLY well, and that prompts Corgi to whip us up some 1:18 James Bond action figures to go with those oh so sweet 1:18 cars they made.

I'd still like to get a nice line of 3 3/4 inch Planet of the Apes figures.

And a super poseable 6 inch line of Farscape figures.

I would relaly like to see some properly done action figures based on both the puppet and live action shows that Gerry Anderson produced in the 1960's and 1970's. We got some in the 90's, but the quality left a lot to be desired, as did the articulation. Shows I would like to see get the 1:18 treatment are:

Fireball XL5
Stingray
Thunderbirds
Captain Scarlet
UFO
Space 1999

Especially the last two, and particularly UFO. Be great to see the aliens, SHADO Interceptors and Mobiles, a scale Sky 1 and UFO and the moongirls from Moonbase.

Well with the new "V the new generation" book out and talks of a possible new movie or series this may be a possibility!

I agree with a decent female line kinda like GLOW but better articulated and better sculpted faces and hair.

I'd personally love a TV/Movie classics line. New 1:18 A-Team, Ghostbuster's,

These are a must. New A-Team figures would be most welcome, and I've been beating the drum for new, movie-style Ghostbusters figures since it came out. This is the series I want to see made no matter the scale. The Real Ghostbusters (cartoon) figures from Kenner were terrible. It still amazes me that GB movie figures were never made.

Figures:
-Venkman with Slimer, Proton Pack and trap
-Stantz with Ecto Goggles, Proton Pack and trap
-Spengler with PKE Meter, Proton Pack and trap
-Zeddemore with Proton pack and extra traps (he couldnt come with Twinkies or a pack of smokes)

All in khaki jumpsuits, repaint each in navy blue for the suits they wore in the sequel. Each would have full articulation to hold their rifles properly.

-1:18 Ecto-1 with siren and blinking blue lights, a no brainer

Playsets:
-Firehouse basement with full Ecto-Containment Unit: comes with Walter Peck, the Con Ed guy, and a cop (I kind of prefer the cartoon basement though)

-Temple of Gozer Rooftop: comes with Gozer & both Terror Dogs

The sad thing is that if Ghostbusters were a George Lucas joint, Hasbro would have released all of this by now, and we'd be up to "Fleeing Pedestrian #67" "Cheering Crowd Member #103" and "Louis' Party Guest #12" by now. :-/

They make girl's action figures. It's just that their play mode isn't based on conflict.

This just as good a thread as any to ask in, without starting a new one. On the topic of 3.75" girl's action figures, I remember when I was a kid, going to visit my aunt and uncle and my female cousins having a set of action figures that looked sort of like Barbie, but were 3.75". In fact, I remember wishing I could get these from them to use with my GI Joes, because they were they same size and had the same articulation (except just straight-arm, no swivel-arm), but had "real" hair. Does anyone know what these were, or at least remember them?

As far as what I'd like to see get the 1:18 treatment: MASK, MOTU, TMNT. They'd all three benefit from it. I'd also like more companies to come out with generics, now that they can see that there's a market. Similar to what we had back in the day with Remco, Lanard, and the others.

Nobody has mentioned Terminator yet!? I'd like to see the Palisades line see the light of day, just, with better QC. The plastic they used tended to suck.

Make some figures based on all three(yes, even the third) movies and the Universal Studios 3D show(those proto-terminators look cool, dammit!). Then go ahead and do a line based on the show as well and hell, why not throw out a few new designs based on the future storylines.

Beyond that, I'd like to see 1/18 lines based on...
-Megazone 23
-Madox-01
-Castlevania-all games
-Contra
-Gall Force-all parts. the Bronze suits and the Struggle Suits would be so cool to have
-Saint Seiya-particularly Episode G.
-Spiral Zone-The japanese version. No more removable armor though. Just removable helmets and lots of weapons and vehicles
-Motion Revive Toei Heroes-having Kikaider and Metal Heroes like Metalder and Sol Brain in 1/18? Oh hell yeah.

And someone mentioned 1/18 Mospeada toys. There are 1/18 Cyclones. They just came out.
