Apparently a 3-3/4" Batman from The Dark Knight was shown at Toy Fair last weekend:

http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/gallery/v/ToyFair2008/mattel/dc/DSC03967.JPG.html

It's a scaled-down version of the Four Horsemen sculpt from the 6" movie line that will come packaged with a Tumbler! Also, it's unknown if there will be more 1:18 TDK figures, but they're not connected with Mattel's Infinite Heroes line (which is not sculpted by the Four Horsemen).

That figure does look great. Hope there's some decent articulation to him.

Looks great sculpt-wise, looks piss-poor articulation-wise. I see a possible ball neck, a swivel right shoulder, and t-crotch hips - and that's all I see. And if I gotta get a Tumbler I've already customed to get him - pass.

Looks like a finished figure and looks like it's in Mattel's favorite points of articulation. Swivel joints all around with knees, hips, shoulders, and head only. Yeah it might be the Horemen that did the figure, but just like He-Man, they have to sculpt it as Mattel orders. I'd probably get it if it looks good enough and for sure if it comes with the Tumbler.

Here are some links to higher-res shots of the 6" TDK Batman figure:

If the 3-3/4" figure is indeed a scaled-down version of this figure, hopefully it'll have just as much articulation. Since it was sculpted by the Four Horsemen, I'm going to assume that the articulation is similar to their Batman/Superman/DC Superheroes figures, complete with ball-jointed upper arms and weird-ass T-crotch leg joints that have a hinge which allow for a wider range of motion.

It's ugly as sin, but it's better than regular T-crotch articulation.

Again, I'm only making assumptions at this point. Hopefully Mattel will produce a cool 1:18 Batman figure, though, honestly speaking, I'll probably pick it up anyway. I need a Joe-scale Tumbler!

The Tumbler from Batman Begins actually works quite well with Joes, though the cockpit's a touch roomy. Oddly enough, of all the ones that have shown up at work, none have had their missles.

That's a pretty nice LOOKING figure.

Hopefully it has more articulation than it appears to or nice LOOKING is all it'll be :(

The Tyco R/C Tumbler is *perfectly* 18th scale. I junked all the R/C junk innards and replaced them with the cockpit seating from the DTC Ice Sabre thingus. I had to monkey an opening hatch on top to get the figs in and out, tho.

thats a sweet sculpt.

if it maintains the DCSH-ish articulation it will be the coolest batman toy EVER, imo.
