After arming my WORMS and Motor Vipers, I decided to finally break out my 100 Imperial Guards as well.

My guards once again have another nice assortment of Marauder weapons:
20 Lugers
20 mini AK-47s
20 AK-47/74 Assault Rifles w/BAYONETS & Removable Ammo clips
20 PUMP SHOTGUNS
and 20 HK SOCOM "MARK23" Automotic Pistols w/ Silencer

Patrick,

Congrats on putting that army together. They make for an imposing sight.

Thanks!

It's not as impressive looking as those who have a large collection of a single rare & vintage army builder, but it was still really cool to see something like that in person.

They were easy to get, as it wasn't a popular set. This army was made possible by Amazon clearancing the Procession 6-packs for $4.00 back in 2006 :-D

YEAH!

As lazy as the actual recipe Hasbro used to make those guys into figures was, they look intimidating as hell in huge numbers. And that IS a HUGE quantity of figure! 8-O

I disagree. :-) Granted, I'm not one much for most "stand em in a line" type displays anymore, but it's always neat to see what the various different Viper types look like when set up en masse with others of their same type. Nice touch with the "mirrored" posing on the guys in the front row. :)

Thanks!
I wanted to have 5 rows of 20 since I used 5 different guns, but I didn't have enough room to do so. So I had to go with a 10x10 setup which worked out better anyway.

I went with the mirrored display due to the flag bearers. I couldn't have one guard holding the flag in front of the guard next to him :-P

You answered a ton of my questions there...Not that the Imperial Guards aren't a great figure...there are certanley 6 pack figures I prefer over them though...I mean the only reason I have more than 5 of the IMP G is because one of my local tru's was closing and had them and a couple other 6packs marked down 50% off....Most any figure is worth picking up at $2 a peice...There's not a question when they're less than $1 each...other than how many are in stock.

Before that, I got a set for $10, another 3 for $6.98/ea and 40 in an eBay lot for $60

The real question is what are you going to do with all of those chairs that came in the set....?
