Hey guys,

Just picked up single pack snake eyes at my local chinese crap importer, errr, walmart.

He was 5.44, not 4.88, :(

Is this price hike across the board?

That's still cheaper than Hasbro Toy Shop ($5.99 plus shipping).

It's nation wide, been talked about on other boards. Hasbro said a price increase was coming at Toy Fair's press release I read over at Hisstank. I think it said in the range of 3-5%, so WM won't be the only place raising prices.

Not raised yet at my Walmarts.
Funny thing is that they raised Star Wars figure prices in January after they had lowered them for Xmas.

Sigh, It's 7.98 a pack in Canada .... and our dollar is basically the same as the American one.

Maybe It'll keep you cheap bastards from buying them all up, so I can actually find them.

$5.44 around here.

I found Battle Armor Cobra Commander yesterday and didn't notice the price-hike. Huh. For some reason, it just seemed like they'd always been somewhere on the upside of $5. Boy am I not observant.

I think they announced at Toy Fair that SW fig prices were going up by a full dollar. I think that's close to a 14% hike ($7 to $8). Yuck.

Sounds like one way to get around it...

Since the Star Wars comic packs are being bumped up to $10.88 each, I just need to get a few Hot Wheels or something to make $25.00. :)

Of course, if they still have the lower shelf tags, then it's false advertising.

So far I've just seen the singles at a higher price. My recent comic pack was still $9.88.

I discovered tonight that one of my local Wal-Marts still has the pegs marked at $4.88. Coincidentally, they don't have a single freaking figure on them.

If anyone cares or was wondering, this is probably because of the price of oil. There was a thread about it a long time ago where we discussed that toy prices would probably go up becuase oil is so expensive now. Just trying to explain so that people don't think the price hike is because Hasbro are big jerks that are swimming in a room full of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck.
