I don't offhand recall reading about it, but there were apparently new MARS Heroes toys shown at Toyfair this year.
You can see some of them here.

Hard to see, but there are certainly some new 1/18 figures in those multipacks. And one of them looks an aweful lot like something out of Armored Core.

Nothing new... as far as the figures go. They're repaints, which is fine for that line. A lot of people still haven't been able to pick up any so it'll give a chance again this year. Now that robot that the figure is inside is new. That'll be a cool addition for people's Star Brigade setup.

Aren't the figures in the three-packs new?

They look like repaints, but I could be wrong. It looks like they do have some new added parts, but the majority of the parts are repaints. It looks like the arms and legs maybe are new and one of the head (the top guy). The picture of them turned sideways looks like the repaints and the one I mainly looked at originally. It's hard to tell in that pack from the picture. Either way I hope they show up in a decent enough quantity.

Well looking even more at the pictures, does it look like that's a non-articulated figure in the walking robot?

http://tf08.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=6228

Looks like it might be a smaller figure than 3 3/4". Same as the other pics, can't really tell.

These figures are new and seem to look a lot like Iron Man. That silver one has a War MAchine vibe to him. http://tf08.figures.com/showphoto.php?p ... e=big&cat=

If those robots are anything like the ones they've released previously they aren't in scale. They are like 5 or 6 inches tall with very limited articulation. It is hard to tell though since I don't recognize the molds.

Those guys are total Armored Core, not Iron man. They're weapons look like they're based on some of the ones from the Kotobukiya weapon sets and I recognize those over-the-shoulder weapons systems which, from the looks of things are a new feature to the 1/18 figures. Also, if you look closely the 1/18 guys no longer seem to have elbow articulation. Their arms are all bent at a 90 degree angle and the image showing the removable parts doesn't show the elbows being removed.

Im confident that the first pic (create and build) are the 1/18th 'ish scaled MARS Heroes . Ive got quite a few of these and the construction is almost exact (except the elbow that Marasai mentioned).

What im curious about is the mini figure with armored transport. This company released a Godzilla knock off with electronic features and a small space ship and mini figure so i wouldnt be surprised if this is similar. The Godzilla KO with ship and figure also walks.

That walking armored mech has potential....and im sure the price point will be good.

Toy manufacturer Feenix was on hand at this year's New York Toy Fair to show off a variety of toys available to retailers, including their popular line of low-cost action figures: M.A.R.S. - Motorized Attack Robo Squad.

Featuring highly-customizable 3 3/4" action figures with interchangeable limbs and accessories (which sell for less than $1.25 each!) as well as larger scale electronic robots (SRP: $6-15!), the M.A.R.S. line, found by most fans at Walgreen's stores nationwide, will continue to see new figures and assortments hit shelves in 2008...with retailer support.

These new assortments will include...

* new 8-12" robots

* new boxing robots

* new 5" robots

* new 3 3/4" figures

* new 3 3/4" figure three-packs (above)

* new robot and 3 3/4" figure multi-packs

Be sure to check out the photo gallery below for images of these new M.A.R.S. figures and tell your local Walgreens, mass market retailer, and online store you want them to carry your favorite low-costing action figure line - M.A.R.S.!

The 1:18th bonus figure in that 3 robot set is a new sculpt as well.

All very cool, but I would've liked to have seen some new ALIENS in these offerings (or at least new Alien colors), and I don't seem to see any.

Some of those robots look like those light and sound robots imported from China. Those that take two steps and spin around doing weeouhweeouh! :rotfl:

Nice collection though

Oh man, nice find. I totally missed this coverage. If those mechs with drivers are anything like the dinosaur-themed ones, then the figures are about 1-1.5" tall. I see a few new molds in there for what looks to be the robot team, and maybe a new human, but it's hard to see. The new accessories like the fire and barriers are really sweet, as are the newer weapons. I wonder how much that mech 3-pack will run. The figure pack-in looks pretty sweet from what I can make out. Looking at him, it appears that those discs packed with the bots are shoulder armor. Time to E-mail them to see when we should expect these :)

Someone brought up this line on TNI just now, which reminded me that I was supposed to E-mail them. So I shot them a quick E-mail asking if they had any hi-res images of the new figures and accessories. I also asked when they'd be available and in which stores in the US. I'll let everyone know what the response is, if any.

I lost mine....
