I've got that same Wife! Weird. Maybe they are clones? My wife always finds the new waves at the Wal Mart by the hospital where she works. She doesn't get into the habit of buying them though, she'll only buy me one of each:(
I usually find stuff at Target and grab the extra's I can for people fro there.
The Target DC is literally 10 minutes down the road.

on a side note:
I don't think the "scalper" problem that some people bring up (not in this thread, or board for that matter) is just their frustration. I think it's a myth. If people can't find stuff at the local Target here, it's because of me, the "scalper", the 50 year old guy that lives in his Mom's basement and sells on Ebay.

 I don't think the wife would be up for the trip. Though it could be a project like NBC's "Where in the world is Matt Lauer".

Yeah...I've been called a scalper over this haul. Oh well, been called worse by better. I can understand their frustration, as I think all of us can....I finally lucked out. I've been watching people pick these up from out west for the last couple months...only to run to my walmart and find zilch. I really enjoy how a guy 3 states over feels that by me buying more than one of a figure....that I took his figure, that is classic. I am as much a scalper as anyone who is at home logged onto HTS when they restock the figs and buys them....I'm usually at work, funny no one leaves any for me. I usually just shrug my shoulders and figure I'll find them sooner or later...not go into threads bashing people for doing what everyone of us would do.

I know that when I go out hunting...I have a list of what I'm looking for, and a list of what a couple buddies are looking for. Some people forget that view of it. These aren't ending up on ebay...some are going to some buddies who can't find them in their area (Imagine that...instead of whining they can't find stuff...they ask friends to pick them up for them if they are in that persons area) and some of them go to my son, and my two nephews. Via my son's collection here....he passed along the urge to collect them to his cousins. Doesn't everyone Christmas shop early?

Millsy lives not 5 minutes from my home...and as soon as I got home from work on Friday I did send him a PM telling him to get over to our local Walmart and grab what he needed.....my wife did leave plenty there.

He did manage to grab some of the items he needed....and I believe my wife did grab an extra of one of the items he couldn't find when he got there....so there is local collectors who work together.

You mean they had more?! 8-O My Walmarts would only have like one of each!

Yes sir...wife said there was 4 pegs full of singles, and 3 pegs full of comic packs...and then some on the shelve below piled up. This walmart I haven't spotted zilch at since the 25th box sets hit retail.

where is this magic land you're from? you must be close to a distribution center or something

My wife used to be that way when I was collecting SW. Hasn't been that way with Joes. Though she did tag along today for a visit to our only TRU where I found 2 Snow-Jobs. Maybe some mojo is rubbing off. Hmm...

Mabey you and your wife can come to Fort Wayne and help some of us out on just getting the 25th joes  Every store I go to is empty. They have everything else just no joe stuff. I think it's because of all the CORPS stuff they have.

I wouldn't worry what anyone on some mostly anonymous board calls you. Just like you said, no one else is leaving them behind for you, you have to get them while you can. If it was me, I wouldn't have even been nice (or foolish) enough to leave any behind, unless I hit the number I was looking for already. I've learned to get them when I get the chance, and let the chips fall where they may.

My wife would probably contact a lawyer if I came home with $350 worth of action figures.

Honestly Millsy...I think there is an inside guy at our store. Someone who works there collects or is reselling them...and is hoarding them. My guess...they have the flu which seems to be abundant around here...and weren't at work last week...thus these figs made it to the aisle.

I wish my wife would look for stuff for me. All mine does is complain about how much "crap" I buy. ;-)

My wife has her moments. But when she calls from Target or TRU it is usually to tell me they have a Duke/Cobra Commander two pack or a blonde haired guy with, "is that a chainsaw?" :D

I'm a little late chiming in but last monday I bought over 70 single card figures at a walmart. Mostly Wave 6 at a walmart in Loveland Colorado. My wife checked the walmart computer before I went. Single cards on hand were 301 and comic packs wer 64. It was an awesom haul, and it proves that some stores are getting a bunch while the other stores in our area only had like 15 single cards on hand.
