Howdy again, I've got a couple questions/ideas if you wouldn't mind indulging me:

1) How do you feel knowing that many of us here at this site plan to tear up the AoA figs and make customs with them? Ultimately, I'm sure the financial bottom line is that a figure sold is a figure sold; but does it bug you on an aesthetic level? Don't feel I'm singling you out for this question for any reason other than I can actually ask it of you. I'd ask this of every toy company if I could.

2) Any plans to get into doing licensed properties? I'd love to see a Stargate line from a company with the skill you guys have shown with the FoV line. Stargate would be an easy segueway for you as you've already got experience with military designs and accessories from the FoV line and are cutting your teeth on the AoA line. The military Stargate personnel and the Egyptian-themed Goa'uld and J'affa and EuroMedieval-themed Ori would be a small step beyond what you've already evidenced skill with.

3) If nothing else, could you start using the Stargate actors to use as inspiration for head sculpts so us guys can take care of the rest ourselves?

I actually have no plans to do anything at all to the figs, I have a vast collection of 1:18th and 3 & 3/4 inch figures seperate from my customs, if I were to use it for such I would actually probably buy another one. While that puts me spending more money, it keeps my collection relitively intact. The only time I change this is if I am disappointed in a figure (which thus far I don't think will be the case with these).

Oh yeah; I too plan to keep some as is, but I know from the get-go that some of them are going under the knife. At the end of the day, I'm sure lg2 and UniMax are fine with us buying one to keep and one to hack.

I personally want them as is. I may add different heads or what not to make them look different. But I'd like to keep them as stock as possible.

We understand that these figures will find purpose with our consumers
in a myriad of ways. We'd love for you to purchase one to keep stock, though
But seriously, do what you will. It's actually cool to know that they can serve as
a canvas or basis for your own custom creations.

Loved 'Stargate' the film, not too familiar with the television series. It's unlikely we'd
become involved in licensing this intellectual property, as it can be a very expensive
and complicated endeavor. Likely there is a company out there that has the license already and may not be doing anything with it just yet? We also have to consider its current popularity from a potential sales and acknowledgement standpoint---how top of mind is this license with our young demographic? While we as younger adults may be familiar with this movie/show and other recently revisited television programs/films (Battlestar Galactica, upcoming Star Trek pre-quel movie), how germaine are they or will they be to 8-10 year olds today? This said, I will be really curious to see how the new Indiana Jones figures fare later this year....

Now, I've gotta ask. I know this line is geared more toward historical figures, but is there a possibility of branching it out into more modern stuff? I'm thinking along the lines of doing say, an 80s style British SAS along with an Osprey book on the SAS? I don't know about anyone else on here, but I'd love to be able to get my hands on more foreign soldiers(like WWII Russians or WWI French).

And I saw mention of Tokugawa and Nobunaga. Any chance we may be seeing any actual historical figures such as those two?

if you look closely at the box you see Hideyoshi under the word samurai , so actual historical characters seems likely!

Thank you for your continuing interest and posts.

The original inspiration for AGES OF ACTION was an international cast of
warriors from ancient eras---but I will not say at this time that modern warriors
couldn't eventually find their way into our program. I do believe that
there is plenty to do where ancient warriors are concerned, so this will definitely
be the line's focus. Our BRAVO TEAM program may actually offer more modern
soldiers and 'special ops' types long before AGES OF ACTION does...

Our Wave 1 samurai, 'Tokugawa Hideyoshi', is actually a fictionalized character
whose 'life' is enveloped by historical facts and flavor as provided by Osprey's writer,
Nel Yomtov. However, there is discussion about bringing real, historical figures into the assortment as 'special edition' items....

Keep the questions and feedback coming. I'll look forward to getting you as much info
as I can---
