personally, I have received and shipped to Canada..never a problem. I hope you didn't get scammed. I am going to my comic shop in the morning. I will look for what you are missing.

The USPS said customs, but she didn't say what side. Also, no yellow tape, just looks like a scissor cut.
I'll keep my hopes up.

And thanks for the offers from everyone :)

I'm really curious to see how this turns out. I would definately start calling people (USPS, US Customs, etc) in order to find out what happened. I can't imagine why they would keep the comic. Makes me wonder if they opened it and then the comic came out later? Regardless, I would suggest filing a greviance with the USPS and ask for reimbursment. I'm guessing there wasn't insurance on the package, but there should have been a declared value (at least when I've sent from the US to Canada, I've had to declare a value).

I talked with the people in person at the Post Office 35 minutes after I got the package. She said there was nothing they could do since it wasn't insured. She said that sometimes people in customs have swiped items they like.

And he only declared it as $10 anyway.

It varies. I won mine for around $40, which is lower than normal.

I don't know an exact price. You have to remember that in comparisons to other issues in the run, there were a lot fewer of this issue printed (the book wasn't selling as well). Compond that with the fact that retailers were ordering fewer copies. Thus years later, demand is greater than supply.
