Why is this set even more than last year? I thought trooper builder con sets kept the prices down. So much for that.

Headhunters?

Did you say Headhunters?

Hell. Yes. That's awesome...We can probably expect some different parts body-wise, but I'm betting they'll use the familiar head sculpts. Not real excited about the B.A.T.s, but I'm darn near giddy about the Headhunters.

Very cool.

Justin

Sounds good to me! Now for the only question that matters... Where's the registration sheet?

im expecting Bats v2, but id crap myself if they somehow found the v1.

if the club managed to get the gristle mold back from south america, its possible they also got the original stormtrooper mold back too.

also, SWAT joes? awesome. seems like an easy enough paint deco.

Meh. Yawn. Now if it was 25th style BATS, etc. I might be tempted. Gotta be tough to sell this stuff when Hasbro's in-store product is knocking the pants off your exclusives. First time this has happened in years though...

In for headhunter stormtroopers.

Unfortunately we'll probably end up with Headman again, a figure I absolutely detest.

This year it is UMMM, Gas prices, yeah that's the ticket.

Something funny I noticed last year was the increase for non-troops was nearly the same as the increase has been for about the last 3 years.

Wait a minute-Didn't he like royally P--s off the collectors club by revealing the set info for the IG pack and selling his "Non-Con figs" last year?

And what the-? They just blow the lid off the con set:

Quote:
Comes with Gristle, two Headhunter Guards, Six Headhunter Stormtroopers, Six Bats

I mean what ever happened to the whole idea that the "Surprize" was the most important aspect which is why we used to have to wait until near the last minute.

I am smelling a great deal of rattitude.

I bet the comic is by Hama. I think that we should all expect that, and if for some reason it isn't true, we should all feel really let down. :shifty:

Interesting. I know that the Stormtrooper mold is very popular with other people. I have one and feel no need for more whatever the color scheme.

I'd like to see what new and interesting thing that they can do with bats. After the 90's era internet exclusive flopped, I'm not sure where they can go with them.

I'll likely be more interested in picking up the individuals on the secondary market.

Personally I hated all that 'suprise' build up. I'm an adult, if I want to be suprised I can decide that for myself and not look until the con. Since I don't care for suprises I'm content to see them all at once and make arrangements for picking up the amount I want in advance.

Interesting, but not amazing. I'll be more impressed once we see it's not a bunch of molds we've seen a ton of half assed repainted and thrown out there like 2006.

90% chance they did the Headhunter Stormtroopers due to the huge letdown when it was revealed that Major Bludd's Skull Squad did not use the mold

So what's it going to take to get a Red Shadows set? A full scale attack on Master Collector headquarters?

$325. Ouch.

There's no way I'm NOT going, but.... $325.

Ouch.

I want this set, too...

Honestly, I'm kind of expecting the formula from the past 2 years... tooling up new heads for the "lost molds" (like the Headhunter Stormtrooper and Gristle) and going with alternate body parts for the rest of the figure. Kind of like the Overlord, Iron Grenadier, and Renegades from years past...

Which is cool to me, that way they can enhance my Headhunter squads without replacing any existing figures...
