Saw this posted over at TNI. Hasbro could take a lesson from it . . .

that commercial was awesome.

I like the uncontrolled fire burning in the kid's fantasy battlefield holodeck whatever.

That was neat. Too bad if that aired here there would be tiny print on every Screen. "Missiles do not fire. Jets do not explode. Helicopter does not fly. Figures do not swim, walk, fire weapons, or talk. Boats do not drive, Your hand will not glow red..."

Hoo, yeah, no kidding. Like the time I picked up -- I think it was that Wal-Mart exclusive Speeder Bike set from Star Wars, with the two Clone Troopers. There was a picture on the back of the package of the two Speeder Bikes zooming across a planetary landscape, and here was this little fine print that read, "Items shown in fantasy situation." No, REALLY?!

Of course the most asinine warning of this type I have ever encountered was a sticker placed on a Batman Armor Set. This was in the early 1990's. It was a plastic bat-helmet, chest plate, cloth cape, and utility belt, scaled for a child to wear. The sticker read, "WARNING - Chestplate does not provide any actual protection and cape does not enable wearer to fly."

Holy Legalese, Batman...! :shifty:
