How do you use The Fridge, is he a display piece or does he get into it with the rest of the joes....

I ask because I recently put him in a Dio with Sgt Slaughter and the Renegades and he looks alright there.

Sadly I don't have the ARAH version :( but when I get two Bazookas, there will be Fridge action.

If I had one, definitely as personal trainer. Stick him on an obstacle course, etc.

Always room for the fridge :)

:shifty: Why, he's the leader of my Joes and General Manager of JCW's PrimeTime show. :D

Seriously, he is what his filecard describes him as, part of the GI Joe training and exercise program. He doesn't go on missions or anything unless they are more like humanitarian type missions. The guy can put up a fight and is part of the Joe's "Last Line of Defense" group. If he was in an area and Cobra tried to storm through, he'd be one of the guys trying to fend them off long enough for the other Joes to finish the job, whatever that may entail.

I remember as a kid using him pretty much like a back up sort of guy. When the team got in trouble, Fridge would get sent out to help them. Sometimes Super Soldier would be with him. So I guess I had him pretty powerful and able to take on full groups of troopers on his own.

He stays hidden away eating hot dogs in his little plastic drawer. :shifty:

When I played with him as a kid he was always strictly a stay at HQ and help train the Joes kind of guy. He helped out Sgt. Slaughter with his training duties, but Sarge actually went out on missions with the team.

He's got on a parachute backpack and standing on the skids of a Dragonfly, ready to jump with Dropzone. Realistic? Whatever. Fun? Absolutely.

Liftoff and I were blathering about this guy a few weeks ago. I think we came up with something along the lines that he wasn't actually William Perry (who's what, in his 50s now?), just some random dude that looked up to Da Fridge as a kid. He went to play for the Army college football team, blew out his knee in his Senior year game versus Navy, then went on to be in Mobile Armor and now commands the Mobile Battle Bunker (mostly because it looks kinda like a football helmet), along with Capt GridIron.

He and the rest of the 'sports guys' like to get together and play Calvinball on the weekends.

When I decided to make a Freight custom from GI Joe Extreme I noticed that he wore the same colors as Fridge so I put the 72 jersey on him and worked Fridge into the bio.

I wish I had a Fridge figure. He won a SuperBowl, was on The A-Team show and also tricked Big John Studd in the battle royal at WrestleMania 2. With G.I. Joe, The Fridge probably would spend a lot of time with Roadblock, who would do a lot of cooking and The Fridge would do a lot of eating. He would be useful in training the soldiers, in the weight room helping them with the barbells and things.

I tend to stick with the file card. He's one of the team's trainers. Sure, the figure was a publicity stunt for a relatively short-lived phenomenon, but it's still cool in my opinion. I'm glad Ihave The Fridge!

Thanks for all of the input!

I like the sound of the Fridge running the Slaughter House. He stays at home while the Sarge goes out and plays. Also he can keep the program running when the Sarge is on extended assignment. So he is in charge of the class that Hollow points leads up for me. Thats because being BTR is a sin :shifty:

The Fridge is a B-team leader in my Joe verse.

well,. he WAS my defalt Big Lob, until I bought a custom Big Lob on ebay (or until hasbro or the club smartens up and makes one)

Now, he's the leader of my "Civvies" team (customs that are just part swaps without repaints or altered molds)
