I found 3 of them tonight at K-Mart. I passed on the whip-crackin' Indy, but picked up the Cairo Swordsman and German Soldier. I really like these figures and annot wait untl May 1st :)

I'm buying only the ones I can use for customs (i.e. the ones tht are Star Wars friendly :) ).

Does anyone want the little cardboard relic boxes? I despise cardboard accessories but would feel bad throwing them out if others could use them.

Nurhache's Urn (or rather, the remains of Nurhache in the urn) is what they were fighting over in club Obi Wan at the beginning of Temple of Doom. ;-)

ok these two i don't recognize:

Nurhache's Urn
Battle axe of Leif Ericson

i at least knew what spear of destiny was from the tv-movie The Librarian, lol (yes, it's an indiana jones knockoff movie, but an entertaining one at least)

and i don't recognize the urn from temple of doom...anyone know where i can find the story behind those two, or are they part of the young indiana jones series?

Like DH said, Nurhache's urn is the thing Indy trades the giant diamond for in Temple of Doom. Leif Ericson was the viking explorer who first discovered the Americas.

What makes the Cross of Coronado so special? It's the Cross that Coronado had as he 'conquered' the Americas. That's what makes Leif's axe so special - it's the axe Leif Erikson had when he 'discovered' America. I don't gather that every irem in the Indy series is magical like the Ark, Grail, and Sankara Stones.

Now now, the ax DOES have the mystical ability to kill or severely maim anyone you hit with it.

that's kinda what i meant was what was the story behind it. no i doubt that leif's axe would unleash the wrath of god or anything.

I think a few folk here might be getting confused about the relics because they are not in scale. Nurhache's urn in the film was about the same size as a pint glass...
And on reflection, the diamond relic that (I think) comes with Crystal skull Indy is the one also from the club Obi Wan trade/ action scene.

I love these relics... how about we post the list again noting what scenes/ films they're from? We can all help fill in the holes. ;-)

The Relics have to be the best idea in a long time. That is some great stuff

Anyone with a pic of the relics? I would love to see what they look like

The relics are the best part of this line. I can't wait to get the axe for Serpentor!

Still not sold on the figures though. Parts only until they fix the horrible t-crotch.

Any possibility Hasbro is really on the ball and is including stuff from the paperback novels?

Not the movie tie-ins or the kiddie books, but the novels...
