Since several people seem to have friends in retail and other people have far better sources of information than me does anyone know what's up with the Flash figure. Is he:

a) Short packed and just really hard to find.

b) Was he just left out of the wave for last minute retooling or something and will get released later.

c) Has he become the new scalper gold standard to milk Joe fans looking to complete the original 13.

d) Just something regional with plenty of Flash figures everywhere else.

e) Some odd curse on Joes with names that start with "F" since Flint was also insanely hard to find.

f) Something else I didn't think about.

Thanks for any information about if I just need to look harder or if there is some reason to have to wait to finish off that wave of figures.

As far as I know Flash was packed 1 to a case just like all the other new figures in that wave. Now what gets confusing is the refresher cases that have some of the more popular figures from previous waves that seem to be hitting at the same time. Flash wasn't in any of those assortments that I saw on BBTS so that may be why he's more elusive than the others. When you consider that a store might get 1 case of the Flash wave and 1 of each of the refresher cases with some of those same figures then I can see where the "rarity" might come from.

That and he's a damn sexy [LASER BLAST] that no Joe fan should be without!

yeah i've seen him in the original IG destro wave that came out earlier this year and in refresher waves with torpedo & Rn'R...so who knows. i just wish there were more single card v1 storm shadows & fireflies out..

I don't think Flash was short packed, not where I'm at... for a while, I saw quite a few Flash figs on the pegs when they first went out. I didn't get any at the time since I was just looking to get Snake Eyes. Of course, now, I don't see anything on the pegs anymore.

You're not alone there, Caravankidd, in your quest for Flash. I have yet to see Flash or Snake Eyes V1 in black at retail (and just today I hit 2 Targets, 2 Wal-Marts, a TRU and a KB toys). I started looking at ones on ebay today but a Snake Eyes I was bidding on went over $25 (I lost the auction because that is way over the amount I would pay for a single figure...if I remember correctly I used to could about 10 Joes for that price when I was a kid).
Also the only thing I've seen that's supposedly been released since then 2 of the TRU exclusive 5-packs (Nightwatch and Red Ninja). Thankfully a friend of mine in Tenn. found me a Grand Slam today at a Target up there.
I guess I'm going to have to start pre-ordering and getting what I've missed so far from online stores/ebay. While I love the thrill of the hunt, with gas prices what they are now, I just can't justify driving all over town to come up empty on Joes and empty in my tank.
At least I'm not a completist but I would like to get all of the original 13 since they are the group I got when Joes first came out in 82 (one of my most favorite Christmas...83 was a good one too).

Seriously, Canada doesn't get much distribution (hopefully that will be changing as we near the movie release) but just yesterday we hit the mall and both Wal*Mart and Toys R Us had complete sets of the wave with Flash, IG Destro, Snow Job, Shipwreck, CG.

It's really nice to see Joe-product on our shelves (or pegs). But that's where your Flashes are!

I saw quite a few Flashes in the Baton Rouge area. Heck, I even found a Flash back in March at a K-Mart in central Louisiana. (I think I may have even seen one around here as recently as a week ago.) Be glad to pick one up for you if I see it.

He is an excellent figure.

If worse comes to worst, I have a spare Flash I was going to turn into Grand Slam before they announced the Night Specter w/ Grand Slam. I started removing his red paint and he won't have any weapons (gave those to my GS), but you can have that one for the cost of mailing (2-3 bucks).

I only saw flash once and grabed him when I did. I saw him the same time I saw Snow Job (snagged him as well). But I never saw IG Destro untill he was part of filler for wave 6.
