They got the head, torso arms and waist from the original. Rock Viper's legs.

Not bad.

Whose legs are those?

The guys in chat claim the legs are Metal Head V2.

I cna live with that. I was worried there for a bit that the HHST were going to be Range Viper frankensteins. These guys make me feel better about the set as a whole. Evne if the color is more teal than arsenic.

Agreed. I was holding off on sending in my order.

Seeing those HHST, I am comfortable with that now.

Metal-Head's waist and legs were originally used to create Rock-Viper (1990). His head, chest, and arms were original and were not used to create other figures.

A decent Frankenstein, but I'm still passing on this set. I'd rather spend the money on 6 original HHST's.

I'm liking the HHST much more than the standard HH. The "arsenic" looks better when it's offset by more black. I don't mind the Rock Viper legs since they do add a lot of detail to the figure. I can handle 6 of these. The weapons are acceptable, too.

But, the question of whether to drop ~$400 on these will still come down to the BATS. If those aren't really nice, I'll just snag up a couple of these HHSTs for $11 each on Ebay after the con and call it a day.

If you time it right, a lot of people. Last year, you were able to get the female Cobras as low as $9 in the weeks right after the Con. Even now, you can get a lot of the '07 con figs for under $10. The same is true of the Dreadnoks. For a while, Iron Grenadiers were under $12 and even Cobra Mortals had a time when they sold under $20. Right after the Con, supply is high from those trying to offset their costs while demand is low since most people who wanted the figs already have them. That leads to cheap prices.

(Plus, this HHST is not an upgrade over the original. As such, it will likely price out below the vintage version in the long term. Even if it is, technically, "rarer".)
