Didn't see a thread on this, so here goes.
Stopped by Wal-Mart last night, looking for new Joes. Found none, but did see the new Bat-toys. Of most interest to me was the 1/18 Batmobile that came with a Bats and Bruce Wayne. Terrible figures (undersized bodies and no articulation), but good heads for customizing. And the car looks to transform from a car for Wayne to the Batmobile. hmmm... New vehicle for the alleged Matt Trakker?

You beat me to it. I saw the car too and wondered how it could be used in the JCW.

It could also be used for the personal vehicle of Destro and the Baroness.

The two motorcycles were too big for 1/18th, and the new BatCopter looks to small.

I went ahead and bought it. After I held a G.I.Joe figure up next to the Batman figures, I couldn't help but buy it. I already had an idea for the car when I first saw it during Toy Fair, so this pretty much sealed the deal. With a little work, both figures would be perfect.

How does the Batman display next to a 25th Joe?

Destro is about a half a head taller than Batman. Lady Jaye is about the thickness of her arm shorter. An Indiana Jones figure is head to head the same height. So depending on how tall you want to think Batman to be in your toy universe, I'd say he works fine. The joints for each figure are the same, swivel knees, swivel hips, swivel shoulders, and swivel neck.

To bring it up to date from being a crappy Mattel figure:

The shoulder needs to be reworked into a ball joint, the figures need elbows and a swivel where ever you'd want to make it so you have the lower arm swivel, I'd want swivel wrists, then something needs to be done for the hips. An ankle joint would be optional.

I'll do pictures this weekend for this and the Hulk figure if nobody else has posted any. I won't have the chance tonight, and I'll be working the rest of the week.

Saw the 1:18 Hot Wheels '60s Batmobile today. A bit pricey at $40 but it really does look worth it. If I end up with one, Microman Batman will finally have a pimpin' ride...

Been looking for this, but haven't found it yet. Good to know it's out there. I just got a box of tiny ball joints from HLJ. :shifty:

I hope they work out for you, let us see and know the results. that car is mighty tempting, i think i'll wait till it hits clearance, like i did with the Batmobile from Bat Man begins.

I visited WM last night and saw those Bat toys too. I loved that Bat Copter. It has an awesome front but small tail. That could always be fixed though. Also, the cockpit looks sealed with only a half figure Batman in there. I could be wrong though.

It was screaming Iron Grenadiers custom to me but I opted to wait on picking one up.

I saw on the back packaging the Tredator vehicle. That looks really nice but they didn't have one for me to see up close.

I like the look of the new Silver Batmobile.
Looks like it could fit in on the road as a custom sleak car.
Not as flambouyant as past Batmobiles.

The silver car is *not* a 'Batmobile'. It's meant to be the Lamborghini Alfred mentions in the newest trailer. It's a 'Brucemobile' that might be geared up with some weapons like the toy is; but I highly doubt it does everything the toy does.
