Saw this (http://dcp.smugmug.com/gallery/4826936_tRLrC#290264133_DSPmN-X3-LB) at Toys R Us the other day for $60, I hope the price comes down because I'd like to use it as Destro's castle.

Anybody have one yet?
Anybody have similar thaughts?

Definitely been thinking about this as well. Just not too fond of the price tag. Hoping to catch one on clearance down the line. I picked up a Van Helsing castle a few years back for like $10, it's served as my default. Hoping to merge the 2 together if the price is right.

I'd wait till it hits clearance, try Target first, they clearance things the fastest.

When I saw it at Toy Fare, Castle Destro was my first thought. Then 2 weeks ago, they came in to my local TRU for $69.99, had to pass. Will hope/wait till it hit's clearance.

Nice figures at that castle! I like the mythological / fantasy theme and all figures shown are different too. Cool!

Griffin is a deluxe figure that comes with one of the kids.

I want 2 or 3 of those castles, but I'll get them when they're $20 or less. Which shouldn't take long.

For that money I can get a full castle from Michigan Toy Soldiers. Actually, two of them. When it comes to castles, nothing beats Simba or Supreme Toys.

That set would make a better ruins, with some judicious clipping.

Yeah, it would have to be less than $20 before I'd consider.
Without anything behind of play value, it's just a front facade of a castle, and kinda spotty.

The griffin comes with Edmund AND a tower/addition to the castle.

That one's sold out everywhere I look.

I got this for my son for his birthday.
He doesn't care about Narnia, but he thought it would be cool to use with his Indiana Jones figures.

It is more than just a facade, it has a lot of play value inside too. There are trap doors, breakaway bridges, an elevator, a jail cell, "secret" compartment, lowering draw bridge, mutliple levels, firing crossbow, opening window, lowering gate on the front door (seperate piece from the draw bridge), and some light up torches on the front and sounds.

I gave it to my son on Saturday and he has been playing with it every day since. Very cool playset, and his adventures with Indy and Mutt on a rescue mission to get Sallah from the Germans, and Russians, reminds me of way back when I had GI Joe fighting Cobra for control of Castle Grayskull (only this castle is much better).

My son's enjoyment has made it well worth the price point, and since I had gotten the Gryphon, I gave him the little add on piece too.
