I picked up the horse pack so I'd have some diversity amid my 15-odd brown Power Team horses.

Now kicking myself for passing on the Jungle Cutter the one and only time I've seen it so far!

My Wal-Mart put out a big cardboard display loaded with Indy figures and whips. They had plenty of all the figures, but I ended up only getting Belloq. And now that I think about it, I have all the single pack figures except for the Russian officer (forgot his name) and the t-shirt Mutt. Now I'm off to work on an exploding head for Belloq :D

Cool!

I was wondering if the ark would fit in the Marvel Figure Factory crates.

I can't seem to figure out where I put the one had when we moved a year and a half ago, so I bought a Doom off of ebay to get another crate for my Ark. Nice to see it fits so well!

I don't know if thiese questions have been asked yet:

1) Does the helmet on the German Motorcycle Soldier come off?

2) If so, can someone show a pic of some head swaps? (that head on Colonel Dovchenko body, that head on Russian Soldier body, on German Soldier body)

3) I'm thinking of getting the Jungle Cutter and modding the blades to phlanges to make it a mine clearing vehicle. Can the cutters be popped off? Are they flimsy?

Yes it does.

Mundo had posted some great pictures of Indy fighting that figure:

I can't help with the other questions, as I have not gotten my German Motorcycles yet, and haven't even seen the Jungle Cutter.

Yesterday I encountered a pair scaplers cherry picking mulitiples of particlular figures from several toylines. (Including wiping out the new Joes -Grrr) I was pretty shocked to see that scalpers have friends!

Anyway, they bought 4 Sallah's. I thought this was weird. Is Sallah a chase figure?

In response I raced ahead of them to the next Wal-Mart and got four GI Joes I needed and I bought the only Sallah on the shelf. When I got home I noticed the package has been opened and re-taped shut. I bet the relic or relic sticker has been stolen but I won't reopen it - I rather return it.

So, what's the deal with this Sallah!?

Maybe they were army building Sallah?
Maybe they were using his body to make some freedom fighters?

I have noticed around here that Sallah is not a very common figure at all.
I think I 've only seen about a dozen or so myself, and most of those were all at the same place at the same time. The next time I was there, they were all gone.
I got my son his Sallah online because, at the time, I hadn't seen him in the stores.

I haven't been checking how the secondary / scalping market is on the Indy figures, so I don't know if Sallah is fetching big(ger) dollars or not.

So far the most difficult Indy items to find around here are:

1- Russian Soldier: by far the hardest figure to find
2- German Cargo Truck: have only seen one in the stores
3- Sallah
4- Marion single pack
5- Deluxe German Motorcycle
6- Cemetary Warrior

The Indy w/ Ark, Indy w/ Horse, German 2-pack, and Marion w/ Cairo Henchman are not common to find, but 1 or 2 stores have had them pretty consistantly, so they really aren't too hard to find.

Since this figure is basically the only "retail available" Middle Eastern type figure around, there is probably a pretty good chance of this too. If you want your Joes to fight the Taliban, or Al Queda, the Sallah figure is your best bet right now, for building your oposition forces.

I haven't seen sallah any more or less uncommon than any of the others. Really the only one I had any trouble finding was indy and the ark ( had to get it on shippment day).

But honestly Sallah was the last raiders fig I got because he was lingering.

But I have been tripping over sallah as much as the others when looking. The russain dude from crystal skull I have seen less of actually. but of the ones you listed I had no troubles finding them except the german truck.

I haven't seen single pack Marion at all. The Indy with ark was tough to find too as was the Cargo truck. Everything else I've seen plenty of.

Same here, except you have to buy a Buzzer or Star Wars comic pack to get him.

So it seems like Hasbro's distribution is a little "un-even"...

The Hell you say! :-D
