A) What's a good bike to give to Rider 1?

B) How weak is it that he doesn't come with any grabby hands so he actually can ride a bike? Isn't that his 'thing', riding a motorcycle?

Hey, I was in Japan for the past couple of weeks and got a good look at all of the MRS figures from the newest wave. For the most part, they look pretty decent. Deneb actually comes with a lollipop, but it isn't painted, so it looks kind of like it is just flash left over on the sprue. Apparently the Monster Hunter figures came out just a couple of days ago(or yesterday, I'm not really sure) but I grabbed a couple while I had the chance. Got the silver Rathalos dude and the Kirin chick with the dark skin. They're VERY nice figures. the girl can't hold her weapons very well, but that aside she's a very nice figure. Lots of paint apps that look pretty clean to me. The Rathalos dude is VERY cool. The silver one has a giant fist shaped hammer and a very neat scythe made from a wyvern's spine. He's very pointy and none of the armor is restrictive in any way. You're really going to like these figures.

This should do the job
http://cgi.ebay.com/Bandai-Masked-Rider ... 18Q2el1247

I'd say that the white Lightning cycle that came with Storm Shadow in the VnV line might do a cool job too.

I can't wait to receive my order which should be any day now :shifty:

The SIC Tamashii collection bikes might work well, too.

i used to buy those 1:18 scale motorcycles at Wal-Mart for Zartan and the Dreadknotts back in the day. Also, "Ninja" brand motorbikes (1:18 scale) for Snake-eyes and other Ninjas. and anything spacey for Microman.

A) Sorry, Red; but *NOT*. I'm just not gonna pay $25 for what amounts to a random ricer bike with red detailing. I'll go the Maisto route next time I'm at W*M and see what a li'l bit of painting will get me.

B) When do we get these guys 'Motion Revived':

The bad guy up top (I'm presuming) looks much cooler than any of the Imagine we've gotten (unless Momtaros is an Imagin, in which case he's the exception in every instance I talk badly about the Imagin).

C) Dreadknotts? I'm getting an image of Don Knotts as Mr. Furley with dreadlocks in his hair.

Snake and Cobra were Shocker Kaizo Ningen from The First, so they're not Imajin. Momotaros is an Imajin though. I wouldn't get my hopes up for the Kaijin from The First or The Next, cool as they may be. Though a Shocker Rider in the next wave wouldn't be too surprising.

You do realize that, beyond the bit about Momtaros being an Imajin, not a lick of that makes any sense to me, right?

lol, you gotta learn your Rider lore.

Kaizo Ningen mean remodeled human. Its the term that was pretty much always used for the Kaijin(which pretty much means monster) and the Riders themselves. They're all cyborgs/genetic mutations. It was typically used to refer to cyborgs though. Shocker was the name of the terrorist organization from the original Kamen Rider show and is probably the most famous of them. They were pretty much Cobra well before Cobra was even a twinkly in Hama's eye. the Kaijin in Kamen Rider: The First and The Next were all cyborgs. The ones from The First were Spider, Bat, Snake, Cobra, and the Hoppers(which became Riders 1 and 2).

Actually, I'm not sure I want to know too much about it all. I'm using these guys as a lot of random heroes and villians from the future, about 40 years from now; that all came back when a temporal inversion brought back about 1200 square miles of NeoTokyo back to the present. Knowing too much about the real stuff might limit me too much.

I'm using Zabee as the son (maybe grandson) of Hank Pym and the Wasp, and the 2 Blue Beetle-ish guys from set 2 and 3 as, well, Blue Beetles. I'm still torn whether to make Momtaros be 'DareDevil 2049' or not. I'm thinking that Rider 1 will be the only guy that's a contemporary character (at least of all the ones released so far), and I'm not sure what abilities to give him altho I'm getting a strong 'Japanese Robin from the Wolfman/Perez Teen Titans run' vibe from him.

Powers? Riders 1,2, and V3(who are probably the only old ones to get MRS for a while) don't need no stinkin' powers! They're much too badass for that. They're terrorist-made combat cyborgs with martial arts skills, super strength, and motorcycles hell bent on wiping out the organization that built them.

I can't stress enough the need to check out Kamen Rider the First, AV. You'll get a good feel for the character after seeing that movie. Plus, Shocker is just too good of an evil organization to not have in any Joe verse. If you can find it, I'd also recommend tracking down volume one of the Kamen Rider Spirits manga. You get a much better feel for the capabilities of the first three Riders from that comic.

Dreadnoks...wow, i could have sworn i heard a "T" at the end of that on the cartoon.
not a "k" sound.
Did you mean DareDevil 2099 like the other Marvel 2099 series?

Yeah the Maisto way is a lot cheaper.

By the way, Knight was made in the series preceding Motion Revive.

I like the way you're using your MRS figures as other characters.

Personally, I think I might be tempted to use Rider 1 against Cobra.
After the demise of Shocker, some remaining elements moved to Springfield to create a new organization....

Gel Shocker? :-P

That's pretty much how I plan on using mine. If any of those figures are going to play with GI Joe, it'll be him.

You know, if I could ever get my hands on Torpedo, I think I could make a decent early type Shocker soldier.

Was there a DareDevil in the 2099 universe? I don't recall him.

But yeah; I've got a li'l alternate future going on where the 2099 characters co-exist with the Batman Beyond characters; and they were all in NeoTokyo when a temporal inversion brought a giant hunk of the city back to the present. While Reed Richards and various other genius types try to figure out how to send it back; all the future villians are running rampant all over the Earth and the future heroes are trying to gather them back up for the return, whenever that gets figured out. I've not decided if they'll ever actually go back to the future or not; but if they do they'll be here for at least a year to ensure that a lot of chaos is effected.
