Once again as soon as anything that might be deemed as slightly negative is posted on the MC board, the thread is locked. Really, unless name calling comes out or something along those lines they should ease on the locking of threads. How can the get a true gage of the membership reaction otherwise?
That thread isn't locked. Maybe it was but it isn't now as I just posted a comment. Is there another thread you are talking about?

Never mind me. I just forgot how to reply to a thread for a moment there. I was looking for the space to type in at the bottom of the thread, like this and every other message form I know of uses. I forgot I had to hit that tiny little sheet of paper icon that is 1/ 200th of the screen in order to post something.

Do they not realize how awkward it is to navigate over there? Just like every time I log in I had to wait 5 seconds before scrolling down because the screen always seems to refresh every time I revisit the site. Heck, I remember back in the day Brian would ask me to send my emails in some sort of different application layer because he couldn't read my emails. I was using hotmail and whatever it's defaults are.

Ok I know the rumor mill is he is old but come on, if college professors on the verge of retirement (and I challenge you to find one not forced to use e-mail at this point) can figure this stuff out, surely he can too. Man someone drag that guy kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

Yea I remember Aly complaining cause he wasn't winning so I think I read somewhere that he was getting people to go vote for his "factory made looking figs" cause he wasn't winning. I think it was either his site or on hisstank when someone mentioned it in chat. :shifty:

Those are different people. The Sgt. Savage site was a totally different guy than Brian Savage.

This reminds me - does their site remember anyone on return? I ALWAYS have to log back in.

your Raptor would have pwnd.

I am assuming now, that since i never wanted to be a part of their crappy board and joined solely because i thought this contest was a good idea that my vote was indeed pitched. Rateeg, I am sorry that my lack of posting there got my vote pulled from your excellent custom.

Wow....there are some real winners on that board

And you guys weren't kidding about the whole site being a trainwreck. I'd only been there once or twice before, but after trying to navigate it for awhile, I'm ready to give up computers altogether.

Seriously, just about every major Joe website on the net is better designed than the GIJCC site. Couldn't they just bribe/pay one of the webdesigners of one of those sites to throw something better together for them?

That would involve them admitting their website is a mess compared to all the fan based sites like this one and if there is anything I've learned about the collectors club is they don't take responsibility for their mistakes. Now in case anyone thinks I'm just bashing them for the sake of bashing them then here's two points off the top of my head:

a) the current subject we are discussing and with the whole "lets remove these customs because we think ballots have been stuffed because suddenly we have new people posting.

b) The G.I. Joe news letter was 45 days late for Canadian members for months and the first time I heard any input from Brian was when he basically blamed the shipping company. Sorry, I wasn't paying $60 USD a month to a shipping company. I was sending it to fun publications. Yes, after months it was fixed, but blaming the shipping company you picked? In the real world that doesn't fly.

Once upon a time I was one of the biggest defenders of the collectors club...

Because of the whole newsletter saga for us Canadians (shipped from Sweden), I decided against renewing my membership this year. Sure they fixed the problem, but it was too late and they said something about rising the registration fees because of this new shipping option (shipped from the US).

The simply downgraded me to grunt level or something which means I'll be able to order more shoulder holsters for my AT guys.

Where the hell is the option to even create a forum acct? The Forum link assumes you've already got one and keeps telling me my standard AdrienVeidt login doesn't exist. Having them email me my login only sorta works as they apparently have my email on file (which I assume is because I'm a member), but the fields for login ID and password are blank when I get said email.

Man, and I so love to read trainwrecks, too!

/Has a sneeking suspicion Hasbro chose MC to be the 'official' collector's club because they make Hasbro look good in comparison, lol.

I took the time to join, so I could vote. Then I wasn't able to vote- very frustrating. I was going to get Angie on the horn and have her walk me through the process, but then thought it wasn't worth the effort.
