From what I can tell, they're coming in on the truck at KB week after next. I think we're getting them the 29th, and we have to hold them until May 3rd. I hope they'll send a decent amount so I can get the ones I want.

I wish my KB Toys got what yours does, i will check mine in a couple weeks, mine doesn't even have the New Narnia, Joe singles or the latest wave of Star Wars, but i hope they get the Indy vehiceles to.

At least you guys have KB's in Georgia its hard to find one without going to a mall 20 miles away. I have seen some Indy paly sets but no 3 3/4" figures.

In 3 days your local TRU should have them (And Hulk) on the shelf.

We've got cases and c ases in the back room at work.

Is this useful, it has some lists, pictures and prices for the new figures.

This sounds interesting, the packaging is useful, or something.

The box insert converts into diorama and crate! Save packaging for use with vehicles.

If the Sallah figure didn't have a big turban-like accessory, it could be used for a Sliders custom.

AV beat me to the Spear Of Destiny comic. Hey, it ties directly to the Last Crusade, repeating the end scene at the first couple of pages and it has Henry Jones Senior starring in the main story (post-WWII)!!! Now, I'm NOT positive, but I think that axe is the one Indy finds in another comic, the last of the 90's Dark Horse stories, Indiana Jones and the Sargasso Pirates:

never knew the spear of destiny made an appearance in other Indy media. growing up it was just the movies for me, never quite fit the show into the schedule.

i know it was the focus of the tv movie the librarian, but wasn't the spear of destiny also mentioned in Hellboy?

that thing gets around...

Well at least it is removable. The other one's face doesn't even look like Indy.

Can't wait to get that Mustafar/Temple playset. Didn't know it was coming out this week - now all I have to do is find it.....

EDIT: ok, some places have it being released with wave 1 on the 1st, others have it as "fall '08" --- I really hope it's the former....

It was listed in the wave 2 or wave 3 figs on Hasbro's Indiana Toys site at one time.

Well, the Spear of Destiny/Longinus is a 'real' historical artifact, being the spear the Roman Centurion impaled into Jesus' side on his way to be crucified. It shows up a lot in WWII-related stories as Hitler was reputed to have wanted it in the belief it would guarantee his victory. With that sort of real pedigree, it's quite understandable it would figure into a lot of fiction.

So, with these dated figures, do Wal-Mart stores usually put them out during the night-time stocking shift the night before, or would they wait until the morning or afternoon on the street date? I'm contemplating going Wednesday night around midnight, at the time I usually do my grocery shopping, in hopes that they'll be either out or on the pallets to hang up. I suppose that after the clock hit 12, and they're not out for me to grab or pallet dive into, I could get an employee to get them for me from the back. I'm just not sure how or when they're able to be scanned- automatically right at midnight, or whenever someone manually does it.

It is also the only thing in the universe that can "kill" the Spectre (the comic character, not me - lots of things can kill me :rotfl: ).
