Hear me out:

On the heels of my "Hasbro made everything I want", I notice the converse - since they've made everything I conceivably want, it's tough for me to come up with some ideas of what to do for customs or dioramas. Now Hasbro isn't about to bust out with playsets again, but for the most part, I feel my entire customizing career has come full stop because, for literally the past 5-10 years they've just cranked out everything I want if I wait long enough.

So my question is, what do you want now? What is left, and do you have difficulty starting projects without knowing if it's going to happen officially?

I will say one announcement did actually help me - the Skystriker announcement. I always wanted to "super detail" a SS, and add the louvres inside the intakes and other stuff, so in one case that's something happening that ENABLES a custom. Anyhow, curious to hear what you say.

I'd still like to see Hasbro get around to the remaining figures from 1985 and 1986 that haven't been updated (Airtight, Footloose, Frostbite, Tollbooth, Keel-Haul, Cross Country, and Iceberg). I'd also like to see Jinx, Law, Big Lob (so we can have all of the Rawhides) and maybe a "proper" Cover Girl (though I'm fine with putting a jacket on the convention Sparta figure). Hopefully we'll get at least a few of those in the 30 for 30 line. I'd also really love to see updates to most of the unique characters from the JvC-DTC era.

I'm sure there are plenty of other figures I'd be happy to purchase, but those are largely what I "want."

There's always something else I want and always something new that looks cool. I like what I saw with Toy fair so I'll be getting everything. Hawk was the only figure that I wasn't exactly crazy about, but I might use him as another character.

Since my collection is not confined to G.I. Joe, there's a great many things that I want, especially on the heels of Toy Fair. I just hope I can afford them.

As to G.I. Joe, I certainly want the SkyStriker, and I like the looks of Sci-Fi and the Techno-Viper. I'm very interested in the Hazard-Viper (still want a Volcano-Viper, too!), and I'll take as many Jungle BATs as I can find and afford.

What I'd really like is a traditional-style Pythona. I've customized what I believe to be a very good one, but it'd still be cool to have an official one someday. But I'm not exactly sitting around waiting for that to happen. At least we got Big Lob... :)

Yeah I wish they'd release a 3 pack at least with Golobulus, Pythona, and a Royal Guard. I'd prefer the Royal Guard on his own so we can buy as many as we want, but if they have to be done as a 3 pack, that's fine too. Although that one could be single carded and the other 2 done in a comic pack.

Why not a movie pack... Instead of the comic pk? Since the only comics they've been in was the DDW Transformers/GI Joe series unless they write a comic with them in it alone.....That or have the Royal Guard that comes with Golobulus and Pythona be the Commander of the guard and then sell the Guards as single pks....... That way you can army build the guards and still have a different one for the commanding officer of the bunch.

Movie pack, anything. I'd say a box set that features Golobulus in the window and Pythona is a "bonus: includes Pythona" item. It could either be Golobulus' flying thing or a dio/throne scene sort of deal. But that's something i know Hasbro won't do.

Difficulties decided what I want? None at all. I want the rest of the specialty Vipers a lot, the HEAT, Laser, Frag (altho please do give him a new body as that basic brown jumpsuit just make him look like a walking turd), Astro, WORMS, Snow Serpent v2 (a *far* cooler COBRA trooper than the v1 in all respects except paintjob, imho) etc. A new MetalHead, Nullifier, TARGAT, and Undertow for the Iggys, too.

As for the Joes, Psyche-Out would be amazingly cool as a PoC fig, I bet. I'd love to have 25A versions of Bullhorn, Cold Front, Dodger, Stretcher and Lifeline, LowLight v2, etc.

And that ain't even getting into the vehicles I'd want them to update or straight-up re-release. The Mean Dog would look stupendously cool as a COBRA urban vehicle, imho. Hasbro hasn't even begun to satisfy my wants.

I was trolling evil bay, and I saw the Falcon glider. For pure nostalgia, I'd love to see that one re-made. That one actually flew!
I'd also love to see an Oktober Guard pack (preferably with PoC style updates), and the polar sharc.

Hehe, I keep getting asked to make one out of the plastic I use for the bases. I think I get 1 - 3 people emailing me a week. I'm looking into it, but I just haven't figures out details. I'd really think finding foam like it was would be better and just cast the part that holds the figure. Of course the plastic would hold up better and it would also fly, but it adds cost. I know if I do it, it ain't worth doing unless it can be offered for a low enough cost. Nobody would want a $30 glider... I wouldn't anyway. Maybe if it were in the $20 range...

Pythona, Dr. Venom (Hasbro wide release, not MC or whatever they call themselves today), Kwiin in shorts.

Beyond that I want some new stuff, especialy new characters, Shadow tracker was a good start, a new character with a specialty we haven't seen (at least for Cobra anyway) but now I want to see more, shock vipers are kind of cool but feel like a reimagining of Alley Vipers in many ways, which make them kind of pointless.

You know, I might actually consider paying $30 for a repro 1983 glider. To have them in mint condition and durable would be awesome. I have your Cobra Missile Base and I love it.

I appreciate that. I don't want to derail the thread but I'll have a thread of it's own eventually with some info. I'm weighing options, I just don't want it to cost a lot on the buyer's end.

Pythona is my biggest want, and has been since I was a kid. I'd also love 25th style Sice and Dice figures. But other than that, I'm perfectly happy customizing my way through any wants I might have.
