Did we get any info on the whereabouts of the ashiko cycle and scout hiss. Last years con had a date of March 2011.

They were supposedly cancelled. Maybe more info will be told at the Joe Con at the end of the month?

DANGIT -- I wanted that Scout HISS!

This is not a good trend. Granted, we'll probably see them at Ross by the end of the year, but this is still not a good trend. The reason a toy gets cancelled is because retailers don't bother to order it, so the company doesn't manufacture it.

Packaged scout hisses (in the PoC packaging) have been seen, so at the very least, hopefully that one will show up at Ross or something.

Seen where? At retail anywhere?

Overseas seller. There are pictures, but they're from Hisstank. Googling hiss attack scout brings them up.

...Cancelled? I thought they were moved to POC and are coming up soon? Wasn't the Cycle on display at Toy Fair?

I will be really sad if that's true. I was going to buy a bunch of those ride armors.

Anyone got a source for this info? Or did it come from there being no coverage of them at toyfare?

Edit: GyreViper has posted in hand, in packaging pics of both the Cycle Armor and the hiss scout, so they're going to turn up somewhere.

They still haven't found a spot for the Scout Hiss. It isn't dead, dead, but it is certainly in limbo. Last I heard the cycle was canceled. We may hear more about this at Joe Con but it was in even bigger limbo than the Scout Hiss. They manufactured it so they paid for the tooling. But I haven't seen a packaged sample at this point which is not a good sign.

As far as I know, there hasn't been any official word on the status of this wave. There's been a lot of speculation based on the lack of word about it, and the lack of presence at Toy Fair does nothing to quiet that speculation. Still, I'm pretty sure Hasbro has not declared either this wave or the second mech wave officially dead.

At the very least, I hope that the mechs get some release, even if it's just Ross or TJ Maxx/Marshall's. The third alpha wave doesn't do anything for me personally, though I still hope it also gets some release for the people that do want them.

Yeah out of all the remaining stuff i mostly just wanted a scout HISS and probably 2 of the cycles. I haven't seen or heard anything being said about them. I do hope they get some regular release. I'm tired of ROSS with their "be at the right place at the right time" stocking. It's all the way on the other side of town and gas prices don't help make it any easier.

I didn't know there were more mechs in the works. I'm not especially interested, I really just want the Scout HISS, but still...

Yes, redecos of the two existing ones, possibly with new limbs, packed with a bright blue Alpine and a Desert Scorpion respectively.
