I just won a couple of Skystrikers on eBay that I'd like to rebuild and customize. Maybe restore one and custom the other. (thinking a couple of full blown 454s with NO2, flame paint job, side pipes...)
The biggest annoyance of this great toy is the wings open/wheels down or wings closed/wheels up operation. Especially for those you who owned the Flagg, having closed wings would have been a great help for deck space.
Anyway, I'd like to fix the mechanisim inside to still operate the landing gear, but not the wings. The wings could be operated by hand.
Is it possible to do this? Is it a bigger pain in the butt than it's worth? Granted I've got two to work with, but I'd rather not trash one because I tried to do something that can't be done.
