What is the easiest way to make a back pack from an O-ring figure fit a ME figure?

Lots of packs, like Duke's, were redesigned to fit the ME figures, but some, like Roadblock or Tele-Viper, haven't been updated. I was thinking of just shaving down the peg to fit, but I wanted to see what the experts had to say.

Since they never return my calls, I decided to ask you fine folks.

I'm not sure that's the best idea. ARAH backpacks mounted at a lower point compared to ME figures, so they'll end up sticking way up over their shoulders. You really need to set a new peg up higher on the pack.

Yep, the easiest way is to cut the old peg down and drill a hole through the center just deep enough to get a good hold of the plastic rod. cut one to the size it needs to be nd glue in place. Model runners would allow you to get colors that you might want more than styrene rods and plastic welding rods.

Some modern backpacks fit better sitting up high. I saw a guy's Laser Viper custom that used the ARAH backpack with the peg shaved and it gave the lasers better clearance over the guy's shoulders. TeleViper's might work, with the antenna and all, but I'd expect Roadblock's ammo-laden pack to hang lower on the figure. The drill/stryrene rod method is probably the way to go.

I actually use the billion of light sabers I have laying around for that sorta stuff. They usually fit pretty tight. I have no use for lightsabers (but often have use of figures that come with them, thus a surplus of them lying around). They also make fantastic paint mixers!

When I was making the vest armor for my RAH version of Ada Wong, I used the method that the BBi Elite force backpacks(some of them) had done. I pin drilled 4 holes in each corner of the vest. Clipped off the main pegs, then placed 4 continuous jewelry rings in the pin drilled holes. Then, for straps, I used a length of the same covered elastic bands that BBi did, sewing it off at the desired length.

The same could be done for backpacks. Pin drill 4 holes at an angle, on each corner, and insert the four rings. One could use either the elastic bands for the straps, or if one is really nimble with the fingers, first microdrill the regular rubber or plastic straps, then insert the ring through the plastic straps and attach them to the angled holes in the backpack.

I was thinking ink pens (the tube the ink is in), fit 25th back holes. The ends of the ink tubes don't have ink in them.
