I stopped at Target on my way home tonight looking for the GI Joe vehicles (Which I found!). As I was leaving the toy aisle with the VAMP and HISS I looked over by the Dark Knight stuff, and there were the DC Universe Infinite Heroes! I picked up Guy Gardner and Captain Marvel, but left Adam Strange and Reverse Flash. Price was $4.99.

Here's a quick New Joe/Old Joe comparison.

First impressions: Not bad, the articulation is on par with most newer Star Wars figures, shoulders have a better range of motion than I thought they would. Guy Gardner's eyes are such a pale shade of blue he looks like a zombie, but otherwise worth the five bucks. I'm not going to get every one, but the ones I will get will mesh with my ever-expanding 1/18th scale universe.

I haven't seen them yet, but I'll grab a few I guess. I'll cut that huge freakin hand off and give them better ones though. I'll probably add some swivel joints to the arms if they don't have that either. I guess the hip needs to be reworked too. Would it just be better to make my own instead of buying these? Hehe. I wish Mattel would update the way they make action figures.

Biceps - it looks that way, But i dont think the forearms or wrist are swivel... but with those hand, chop them and replace.

they have ball-joint shoulders, but no bicep swivels. No swivel wrists either.

Lousy timing financially, but I'll definitely be looking for these!

I noticed the other night that the females look to have the mid torso articulation like the 25th Joes.

I really like the looks and colors on these figs.. I just don't care that much about DC.

They don't have hip or wrist articulation, and Capt. Marvel's hands dwarf his head.

Kind of a strange selection of B and C list characters.

Yeah.... Atom Adam Strange and Black Hand are the weirdest to me.

You can kind of rationalize the others.
Guy Gardner looks like a Green Lantern and the kids who would look at these now what a Green Lantern is. Reverse Flash looks like a yellow Flash, again, the kids would king of get that. Capt. Marvel, looks Superman-ish.

The others... are a bit harder... especially Adam Strange. I barely know who he is.
