You know, when I first saw your pictures of the early, early stages of this, when it was just a wheeled platform, I thought it would be MONTHS before we saw anything that would look like this. Not because I don't trust your skill level (not after Devastator), but just because of the level of this undertaking. And yet here we are. Absolutely incredible.

I got a chance to check this out in person last night and it is AWESOME. The attention to detail John put into this really really shows. It looks amazing in photos but in person it is really really extraordinary the level of work John has put into it.

As I was driving home I was thinking about it and it brought back tons of memories that I had as a little kid when I'd get a new Star Wars or GIJoe vehicle. It reminded me alot of the Mobile Command Center and all of the cool stuff included with that. This thing has sliding chairs, belts, gun cases, etc etc.

It is simply that cool!

Great job again John

Got the rear gun mount set- this allows it to travel the rails and swivel 360 degrees. The section sticking up will go into the gun itself.

Also, added the top section to the side door . . .

Freaky naughty. Amazing work & you going with "Brown Bess" for the external color? Got several tins of the stuff for my ALIENS props & models.

It maybe a larger BUT as you have said this is a playset too & the actual 1:1 internals wouldn`t fit the 1:1 vehicle they used either. Plus a guy made a 1:6 APC & his was a larger due to the internals he made. You for doing this at a smaller scale are freaky naughty.

So you getting these cast & copied for everyone else?

I especially dig the way in which you molded the material for the vehicle's contour, and the sliding side door mechanism itself. That's ingenuity, brother.

The paint looks proper-- perhaps dirty it up some? (What the hell is anyone supposed to say by way of "critique" on this?) LOL

OK... $22.50...

Worked on the interior for another few hours last night.
Here's the computer center. (This is the fist time, with this project, that I don't think the pictures do it justice).

With great vision comes great dedication, and you my friend are truely a credit to our craft. I don't know that any toy company could have built a better vehicle.

Job well done.

Waiting..... and bowing in the presence of a master.

Very, very few people have the desire, skill or talent to do really good custom vehicles. You my friend have set the bar so incredibly high that it may never be reached by anyone else.

I know this seems like mindless arse kissing, but I can leave no comment about the vehicle that hasn't been left. I can only say that I am totally impressed with every detail and can't wait to see this finished.

Well, except for a pull handle, this one is done. Finished 05/08/10- Took just under 5 weeks to complete. This was another six hours worth of work.

Here's a fast look at the rear gun, and tail lights . . .

With all the moving parts I think you need to take a video of this thing, pictures don't seem to do it justice.

Ok, since this is done, I HAVE to comment. I know of nothing that in my life that I have seen (other than Stormavik in his satin Strawberry Shortcake jammies) that would make me take the time and money to make something of this nature. I mean I love anything from the original Predator...really like the Aliens movie...and LOVE the original Star Wars (enough so I had to make an entirely new ep 1-3 to replace the moldy, maggot ridden horse dung that Lucas did) but I could never find myself doing anything of this nature. Perhaps it's the fact that I work too much or have just now found the love of the hobby after 5 years. But you need to be commended. I loved Dark Horse's Indy tank, but this is even better...perhaps the greatest vehicle custom ever? I cannot wait to see Hicks, Hudson, Ripley and the gang (and Wierzbowski!!!!) around it.

Great work, Mr Keenan!
