I just don't know what Hasbro was thinking when they decided to make that Flagg display. Just having it there is a big tease to people that really had hopes for a re-release. But then they trashed it with a ground battle on the deck which includes sandbags and barb wire? Terrible.

Well, Mattel did put out a prototype of He-Man at SDCC before the online subscription happened. It is very possible that Hasbro might have been thinking to put the Flagg out on display just to see what potential buyers might say. Now that SDCC is THE place to go, lots of behind the scenes wheeling and dealing happens. That might even be the idea they have for the big item with the G.I.Joe movie. If they are going to still somewhat carry on from the first movie, the Flagg was in it and would probably play s big part in the second.

It's all speculation but I could see them just trying to see what type of talk it generates. If the right people say "you know, THAT would be great to see on the shelves next year for Christmas", then there you go.

The Renegades figures were growing on me before, but now...wow! I just hope I can find them at retail.

Honestly, I'm really disappointed with Hasbro's offerings this year. Last year they had a ton of new crap, and not just with Joe. This year, we've pretty much already seen everything they've shown.

Word has it nothing new is going to be shown for Joe and there's really only enough figures shown here for what, two waves? What the hell? I thought this was supposed to be an anniversary line and they've barely got anything with HUGE gaps between releases. It's no wonder they're not getting any retail support when they've barely got anything to offer in the first place. As it is, I'm already not expecting to see any of this on shelves. I've still not seen anything beyond the Shocktrooper wave, and that was back when it first came out. I expect I'll STILL be staring at those damn acrtic Destros come Spring '12.

Oh, and for the record, I'd gladly have given up Kwinn to get the Data Viper. I mean, what kid is going to want a big Eskimo in short khaki shorts over a Cobra with an exo suit?

remember, The marketing manager did ask me and several other attendees what we would like to see in a 7 pack (including that whole female figure thing)

they also said the 30th line would run into next year, so They may yet throw us a curve ball before the movie gets released.

I liked the HISS in metallic red. That it's not, sort of diminishes it for me.

Glad Kwinn's not canceled. The Data-Viper was a serious enough casualty for me.

Really dislike the Zombie-Vipers. Get me some Hazard-Vipers, Techno-Vipers, Kwinn, and Sci-Fi, and I think I'm good with individual figures.

Well the Data-Vipers aren't cancelled either, they're just being delayed for a future assortment.

I recall that myself and several others told Hasbro that Zombie Vipers need to be released in multipacks & we'd army build the hell out of them. Zombies come in hoardes afterall...
Give me a 7 pack of those & I'll buy atleast three.
