Born 2 Kill - THE BROOD : Newly Hatched Vipers - From the pages of Firefly's Journal

This is the very early beginnings of my story revolving around a seasoned Firefly veteran who finds himself (reluctantly) placed in charge of a newly formed task force - THE BROOD - consisting of 2 Fireflys - 4 T.A.C. Vipers & 2 specialized Viper drivers... as this project evolves, I will be posting custom figure/vehicle/dio pics to bring these characters & their story to life...
INTRO -
Nobody ever sees their life changing, it just happens... Sometimes it occurs in an instant, other times it is a gradual series of events. In my case, I'm not sure how or when things had transpired to bring me to this place.
I had ALWAYS been SO careful... I NEVER took any assignments that I wasn't comfortable with, NEVER met my contacts in person, ALWAYS did my OWN homework, my OWN intel, my OWN recon. Hell, I even went as far as providing my own supplies, ordinance, weapons & gear. I was a self-sufficient, self-contained, one man army, I am a Cobra operative... I am a $h!+ in your bowl of cereal, wipe my a$$ on your wife's slinky black dress & then blow your kid's toybox up with a pound of Symtex, harda$$ SOB - I'm a g0dd@mn Firefly...
Up until 2 weeks ago, I thought I was the ONLY Firefly... man, I had this whole thing f*^ked up...
T.A.C. Viper - Tactical Assault Commando...
So... picked up my 1st 30th fig the other day & if any of U guys R familiar w/ my work or my methods - I've said it many times B4... no figure is safe or sacred around me... I started kitbashin' as soon as I opened it & sat down @ my workbench - the concept for this guy is a group of specialized Vipers (T.A.C. = Tactical Assault Commando) who would B attached 2 Firefly squads - in a fire team supportive role... they have X-trainin' as Alley Vipers & Range Vipers w/ some demolitions thrown in the mix...
RECIPE =
Base Fig : 30th Cobra Trooper
Head : PoC Jungle Viper w/ Bravo Team "Delta" styled helmet
Lower Legs : 25th Crimson Guard (I love the "jackboot" look)
Feet : Captain America (Target comic 2-pk. w/ Crossbones)
Gear : Vest = RoC Duke w/ front holster/pistol & rear packs added from fodder bins --- Belt = 30th Cobra Trooper cut from webgear
Weapons : 30th Cobra Trooper pistol & silencer --- modded MP5 from Bravo Team
Paint : Testors Model Master acrylics - German Uniform Feldgrau, Flat Black, Silver, Gloss Red & clear red acrylic gel paint (over silver) on the goggle lenses --- I wanted a paint scheme that was evocative of WW II Nazi troops...
My Firefly (WiP) that will be commanding this unit...
This is my "mostly" completed custom Firefly... this is the version that will be the commander of my T.A.C. Viper team (THE BROOD)... it is a "tad" on the sci-fi side... but I LOVE how he looks --- all the grey soft goods will be finished w/ lt. sand & khaki camo & then the entire fig will get a dusty brown wash... & add some minor details (leg straps, FFtool/det backpack, FF gun, etc.) LMK what U guys think...
THE BROOD : Heavy Technical Rig (WiP)...
Here is the 1st of 2 vehicle customs that I have planned for my long-term project - THE BROOD (a COBRA unit consisting of 2 Fireflys - 4 T.A.C. Vipers & 2 specialized Viper Drivers) It is obviously a WiP & the plan is to swap out the interior tub - so the driver sits back another 1/2 inch; lower the suspension; exoarmor tubing around the fenders, rockers & bumpers; screen mesh over the windows; a gunners seat inside the rear guncage & some underside skidplating... also included a preview of my BROOD driver for this rig (had just started paint on him)...
