I designed this line to use as few new toolings as possible so as to be more ecomonically feasible for Hasbro to release. I was partially inspired by the Dollar General figures that were recently released.

I am at work right now so I cannot go into more details, but I think everyone will flip for the Year 2 products i will be posting tonight :)

Your Sir Stink,

I started out knowing that this was an idea of yours.
As I read through your descriptions I started to visualize it as though I were looking at print ad's in a Christmas catalogue. I could clearly see how each new figure and set would look like and I longed for Christmas morning. Beautifully photographed dio's of actions figures advertised the way they should be and the fun of the adventures to come. I got to the end of your post with a smile on my face and the excited feelings I used to get as a child................Then I realized again that this was just an idea and not real..... You stink!

I agree with about 95% of everything you said. The only thing I'd like to add is a Series one Mike Powers with clear arm and leg. For season two a Bullet-man ... A Dr Mind Bender experiment gone wrong on a captured Joe which results in Bullet-man the Human Bullet. The Joe team is dispatched to South America to investigate meteor strikes... only to discover a man lying in a Crater....Da ta da.. Bullet Man is born.

I have felt for years that Hasbro needed to go a different direction with the toys and attract more children to the franchise. I think this idea would do just that.

Thank you for the excitement.

Adding in Adventure Team to the Joe brand isn't really a new idea. They did it with Sigma 6 and those sets were some of the best received of the entire line. Taking that same concept to the 4" figures (face it guys, they haven't been 3 3/4" for 5 years) would be a great way to reinvigorate the brand and keep collectors happy.

I don't think they need to add in the Colton family though. Just Joe as the leader and then repurpose existing Joe characters to fill out the line. Lots of environmental specialists that could really make this work. In fact I've been planning something similar for my own universe.

This is a cool idea. However, I would rather they not just do strait reissues of existing figures with minor paint changes. Especially Croc Master. I like the idea of the VvV version but don't know if they could do that with existing tooling. Release him in the python patrol deco that was planned though and we'd have a winner. I also don't really dig the excessive amount of Colton variants either. I'd rather see other existing characters in those spots instead.

Gijoey- I am glad that I could give you some joy with this idea, sorry it's just daydreaming and isn't happening for real though :(

Pyre- I understand your dislike of the Colton variants, unfortunately this is something that the toyline would almost certainly have to have as he would be the "main character", which is why I relegated them only to the exclusives (I believe exclusives should not be something "necessary" to enjoy the line but as "extras"). PP Croc Master will be addressed as well, don't worry :)

Mysterious Stranger- The way I figured it, the Colton family would be the main characters of the cartoon, with the rest of the AT characters appearing as needed for different adventures (I will share my full series pitch tonight after posting Year 2).

Pfft! Work. I"m at work now too and you don't see me working do you? :-P

Cool. I look forward to reading more.

I would love if Hasbro got behind this idea or something similar using the Adventure Team. It could be geared for a younger audiience, like the TFs Rescue Bots.

Add a Dr. Venom figure instead of Mindbender and I'd be in.

No Dr. Venom so as not to step on the Club's toes (no remakes at all of their AT stuff in my proposal) or have hardcore collectors fretting over their Club figure decreasing in value.

This was the thread of the week, and I'm excited to hear more is coming. Like gijoey, I could picture every single toy clearly based on your descriptions. and it totally captures the feel of childhood toys. Also I think it's extremely doable as a cartoon series also. Only negative about a toon is that they producers would inevitably make Colton's son the star, not Joe himself.

The dream line that keeps on giving.
Kudos!
The Secret Agent exclusive could come with a mask to complete the set.

I could see a mission card included with each set that could introduce 3 different scenarios possible with each kit and a fourth one that would cross over another accessory set to stimulate the kids (and the sales).
