Finished. All scratch built except for the head, joints and hands. Megatron is 19"- that would be about 29 feet tall in 1:18th scale.

Now I'm back to square one- having Megatron and Prime finished. Next up will either be Starscream or Ironhide.

That is not just awesome in scale, it looks superior in both design and engineering to the MP version. And given how infrequently I've actually used the transforming feature on my MP Meg's, I'd much rather have one like this.

Thanks, guys. No plans for UM. I only have the one OP now. I sold the 24" version, and the 16" was for my son.

WIP Ironhide.

I'm still up in the air about a weapon/weapons for him. I'm not a fan of the pistol the G1 has, and I'm thinking along the lines of the movie version. Also, the head is a place holder I hope to get something larger.

I didn't bother with a set of WIP pics since I walked through it with the other Transformer customs.
I'll have him painted tomorrow.

Got him painted. Have to clean the windshield. I think the head looks a bit better now. Still want to swap it out though.

My only crit was going to be that the head looked too small.

Sounds like you're planning to address that, though.

Great work!

I agree. He needs some touch up work and that head is a bit small for that body.

Much better, that tiny head just looked off.

I'd give Ironhide a big old rifle, I wanna say there were a few episodes where he had one.
