Both of which could have been cool if they hadn't be designed around a cheesy gimmick (being a squirt gun that looks like a plane), but the Liquidator looked a bit like the delta wing fighters Cobra used in the first mini-series and occasionally through out the main series.

I think the inspiration for the Liquidator was the Saab 35 Draken. And the squirt gun feature turned me off both the Storm Eagle and Liquidator.

We kinda talked about the Storm Eagle. I think it is based on the YF-23.

Well looking more into the tech specs, and tv show episodes, of the XP-14F the XP-21F and the Night Boomer I have come across some very interesting and amusing things. First the Night Boomer.

http://www.yojoe.com/images/resize/w/MA ... prints.jpg

Its blueprints do not show any guns being on it AND most interesting of all its AIM-54 is a heat seeker!!! This would mean that this version of the XP-14F is has very super powerful ir sensors, if the AIM-54 has the same range and capabilities as the versions used on F-14s then this Night Boomer could have the most powerful ir sensor on a fighter ever.

As for the XP-14F and XP-21F. I looked at the other tidbits of information and a lot of it has different specs and equipment listed. At least one list the capabilities of the XP-14F and its equipment as identical to the F-14A.

Now the most interesting one is this one.

http://www.yojoe.com/images/resize/w/MA ... oncard.jpg

Its guns are listed as E-81 Aero Vulcan cannons and Port-side E41A1 Vulcan 50 mm cannon. Other cards have the Vulcan as a M41A1. To me E stands for energy weapon. The XP-14Fs and XP-21Fs that have the E41A1 Vulcans are firing Lasers.

here are the other file cards.

This last picture shows some Skystrikers have a Right-side mounted six shooter.

Just for the hell of it here are pictures of my Skystriker XP-21F I got recently.

I used Baron Fel the Imperial NAVY TIE Interceptor pilot in these pictures.

I am a bit meh that the pilot is hard to see through the front view.

I thought the Baron fit very well in the cockpit despite him being a Star Wars character collectable.

This shows the height of the XP-21F compared to these collectables on their bases.

Image

This shows the size of Baron Fel next too Trakker and Steel Brigade while standing next too the XP-21F.

Image

This is Rise of Cobra Wetsuit in the pilot seat, it actually did not fit too well.

Image

Image

Size comparison between the XP-21F with Trakker leading the mission ;) next too the 181st TIE Interceptor with Baron Fel.

Image

Matt fits very well in the XP-21F cockpit.

Extra special bonus. I am showing of my NAVY joes.

feliz navidad!
