Couldn't his original mutation to cobra Comander from a young nobleman leave him snake scale like? Hence possibly the reason it's called cobra and cobra la? His second left him as a snake with no arms by the end of the movie. I did not continue watching after the movie so I don't quite know his he was brought back as battle suit cc.

Not really. In the movie when he's exposed to the spores, he tears his shirt open and you can see his Cobra-La powder blue skin morph into the scale-ish look.

I believe this is a post-snake mutation Cobra Commander. Distinct from the comic incarnation. Insane, but still a better CC than Fred.
