Wave 3.5 found at TRU

I have all of the figures I wanted for collecting purposes ordered or in hand and today ordered some more of the ones i want for fodder from BBTS, all of which were $9 or cheaper, so as long as I can get my hands on 2-3 more Dukes at some point, I think I'll be done. But I don't want to pay $20 for them.

I spoke with a manger at my TRU yesterday about the new wave. He said he's placed 3 different order requests and has no clue why they're(I'm assuming the TRU warehouse) still not sending the new wave out. And was also dumbfounded why they sent a case of wv1 SS's instead.

I got my case from Amok and just ordered 4 more Combat Ninjas from Kokomo before they sold out for $12 each wich isn't bad.

This situation really makes me miss the monthly questions to Hasbro.

If I recall they probably wouldn't answer this beyond "distribution is up to the retailers" which is the new Hasbro corporate motto.

Is it the retailers packing those cases with all the same "LASER BLAST" figures? I'm really curious about what the boxes say those are, or if they are just restuffing the box at the DC. Because its stupid.

found a solid case of wave 1 storm shadows at TRU today. I've resigned myself to the fact that I will likely never see Kwinn at retail now.

Received both my pre-orders from SmallJoes and Kokomo Toys last week. Such an excellent wave I'm having a hard time picking a favorite figure. Cobra Commander is really growing on me, as he's basically a perfect representation of "classic" CC. And Roadblock looks just fantastic holding his new M2. Great stuff!

I really really want a repaint of Ultimate Roadblock in v1 colors. Maybe with a new head.

Right now I'll settle for getting a second one so I can use the weird baton slot on the back of his vest as storage for an extra M2 barrel.

Woot, they came and I nearly did, too! I've only opened Duke, Flint, CG, and SE; in that order. I'm gonna try to space out opening them all to better appreciate them as individuals.

Flint is disappointing due to the ugly Mouse collar and unpainted pants cuffs on the already-ugly JoeTrooper legs. Insta-fodder, imho. Duke is a most-cromulent figure indeed, but suffers the obligatory 50% deduction for being Duke. The CG is a good FrankenFig with great new bits, but SE is outstanding. Once again the Joe sculptors demonstrate they're the best sculptors in the business, by making a 'nude' superhero buck that puts the rest of Hasbro and the entirety of everyone else to shame. I'm gonna have to grab dupes for customs if I can.

Tomorrow will be RB, FF, the Combat Ninja that's gonna need a new name, and Kwinn.
