I agree, use the Equalizer turret for the higher profile. The flat front of the Equalizer turret would make adding a futuristic weapon easier to mount.

I've got the Mauler armor settled and fixed in it's final location... it still needs to be epoxied in...but screws and hot glue are holding it for now..

I haven't felt like taking apart a Mobat to Test the look of it's Turret...but I generally don't like using Mobat parts because the Mobat wasn't designed for GI Joe...so all the detail on the mobat is much too small an fine for use with Joe figures and other Joe vehicles... it makes for awkward juxtaposition.

I tried out the Equalizer turret...but I don't like it... I think it's too tall... I'm thinking I'll stick with a Mauler Turret and maybe shorten the Barrel... May also try a Rolling Thunder Turret just to see how it looks...

I really like that equilizer turret on there. Maybe take out that extra plastic underneath it. Whatever you decide I can't wait to see it done.

Use some old computer fans (power/cooling) instead of the original Whale ones with the Equalizer turret and it'd look pretty cool.......

I agree I like the basic idea you have but I think you should take it to the next level

Yep, that missile turret looks awesome. That would be what I went with.

I'm not sure that the artillery gun thing works as well, as putting large caliber cannon on a hovercraft is just begging physics to ruin your whole day.

I think the Equalizer turret makes it too tall. I prefer the Mauler turret on it, which gave it a more sleek appearance.

Just go with the Persuader laser cannon then. Either you can have an unrealistic large laser cannon that does not interfere with the physics of a hovercraft or you can have a large artillery cannon that creates an unrealistic hovercraft tank. I still like the hovercraft tank myself. And then stick it in a diorama with Destro's helicopter tank.
