I picked up quite a few items, and the plastic quality isn't bad. The figs seems about what they always were in terms of quality - just a few sticky joints here and there. I do agree they used a different plastic on the motorbike vs. the original - makes it a little less fragile actually, but also shinier and a bit less detail. Some of the accessories seem to be the same. I wouldn't call it cheap plastic, just shinier and thicker. The shiny I don't like so much, but actually I think the thickness is better now to protect previously fragile parts.
