We were in a college town with a heavy art influence and there was a lot of student art at the flea market, so at first I thought it was a student project. After some googling, I found it was part of a five piece set by Hasbro I'd just not seen before.
I'm thinking about building a pedestal for it and making it a part of my Joe hq setup.

ooooo you should paint it bronze!!!

Diggin those MP TFs, Goldbug. I only have Prowl--an extravagant gift from a friend. Makes me tempted to get all of my favorites.

Stopped at TRU with a $5 coupon today. G.I. Joe Kreos wave 5! I hate that they don't have codes anymore, but I spent a while trying to at least make sure I didn't grab any doubles. I got Stinger Driver, Zarana, Iceberg, Dial Tone and Bullet Man! This is a pretty fun series so far. Also had BOGO 40% Transformers products, and saw the Age of Extinction wave 1 Kreo blind packs. Those have codes, so I got Trypticon and Jetfire.

Thrift store find today. 25th Hiss tank for $2, Dark of the Moon Ultimate Optimus Prime for $5. Optimus is awesome. I'll need to hunt down a few pieces (the wheeled 'wings' and electronic gun, mainly).

Stopped in the PX today to get an anniversary card (20th!).
Swung by the toy and saw a professor X so I snagged him for custom.
Anybody want/need the hover wheel chair?

I got the new Mars Attack miniature game.
Looks pretty cool. Nice terrain accessories and the minis are nice. Too bad they are a bit smaller then Zombicide and Heroclix minis.

Yesterday I paid a lot (almost too much) for this from the GIJCC sale(?).

Grabbed a set of the comic book TMNT figures at TRU yesterday.
They are pretty neat, but not great.

I would've much preferred if they had weapon storage, which they are lacking. Since they use the exact same figure, with unique heads, it seems like giving them their weapon storage, and better weapons too, as the ones they came with look rather cheap and crappy, should've been within the budget. Not to mention how disappointing it is that they don't have swivel wrists.

If they had come with swivel wrists, better weapons, weapon storage, and smaller feet, they would be great. As is, they are ok.
Thankfully I can fix some of the issues.

Are you talking about the new Playmates original comic book style figures? I've been curious about them and how they turned out. I missed out on the NECA versions and would like to get a good quality set to display. The Playmates versions sounded like a good option.

Since TRU was having an interesting sale and that the in-laws gave me a gift card, I decided to give the Hasbro Mashers a try and got Optimus Prime, Starscream and Deadpool.
I also got the new Playmobil police cruiser based on last year's customizable sports cars and Megabloks' Halo Broadsword set with the new super articulated Master Chief.

Yep, those are the ones.
Aside from the lack of a wrist swivel, I guess my biggest issues with them come down to personal preference. Basically these figures represent the very first comic appearances of the TMNT. Where they all had the belts that were knotted in the front and Leo didn't have the straps that went to his sheaths.
I prefer the more refined versions that came next, with the belts that the first movie mimicked.
Which I may be in luck, because it appears that most of the belts from the newer cartoon figures may work well on these figures, and they were designed in the same style as the comics and first couple of films. Mickey's belt fits very well, and Leo's seems to as well.

Big plus or me though, is that I am happy to finally have a set of turtles with tails on them. The other things, I can work on.

Edit:

Picked up a couple of Mikey figures yesterday to give the belts to the comic turtles.
They are the comic version figures, with belts from the Nick cartoon figures, and weapons from the cartoon figures except for Donatello's staff which is from an original figure.

Now I just need to decide how I want to give them their wrist articulation.
