So you gonna face off against the crystal ball army or what?

The custom capes are sweet, I also like the detailing on the mindbrawler custom.

A TC fig based on Marty, yeah, that would be good.

Have to cut Marty off at the knees, though.

Wow... Thanks for the feedback everyone!

I think it make it look even more phallic. :D

Must be why Chief liked it best.

Yea, on the capes I learned that it's not such a good idea to do like 20 in one sitting. I had crappy scissors and my hand was seriously cramping up. Some good ideas on the fraying though, so thanks for the tips.

[LOL...I don't think Chief's all that observant. or I'm just totaly wrong...but it looks like DR-MDBR has connection points for a "Mind Probe" both an output in the front, and an input in the rear!! I love the fact that you added the Cod Peice to the bottom of the DR unit.

Yea, I added several ports to plug various... things into. :D Glad you noticed the cod piece too :D

seriously, brother -- you have to keep doing these!

minibender is flat out cool...

// speaking of which... you should do a 'mind Bender' ala Futurama....

for Steampunk Joeverse, of course...

Oh I plan to... just as soon as I get some more fodder :shifty: So everybody chip in! :D

I've got a SteamBender in the brainstorm stages for the GP. Sure I'll get around to Mind Bender eventually.

You got that right. I haven't had this much fun doing customs in like... forever.

Also - Jimmyboy, thanks for your comments on the backstory. I forgot to add the part about dabbling with the venomization process too, to account for Beav's Dr Mindbeaver.

Thanks again for all the feedback! There will be a few more, possibly next week, but then I gotta take a break and do some regular and JCW stuff so I don't start forcing these before the ideas get fully formed. Plus I need more fodder. If you have any v1 Mindbenders, I'll take em! Condition is not a factor!

Possibly in Canada, but I'm not making the Joe Con in TX this year. Won't be much of a battle either. I'm not even close to the Crystal Army's numbers.

So if I understand this right, those of us not going to the Con are free to make a TC figure...

Hmmm....I wonder if I can mod some gym clothes on Marty...

Naw, I just think I'd mod up a Zarana figure for the Rocky Horror Picture Crow look.

Seriously though, beav has a headsculpt-why not headsculpts of other JC members?

BTW Lance, these customs are awesome! Makes me wanna start lurking on ebay just to get some more Dr. Mindbenders... :D

Sirbendor

Image

With all of the rampant ego running around the Mindbender labs, it was only a matter of time. Combining his own DNA with that of the Serpentor raw material he created Sirbendor - A tactical genius, enhanced strength, indomitable charisma, heightened intellect and... extreme megalomania. Sirbendor contributes very little to the collective goals of Operation: Mindcrme, and ultimately ends up just milling about the lab 'observing' and shouting at everybody.

Results: Disappointing

**************************************************************************************************

Dr Mindraptor

Image
Image

This was actually a mistake... There was a mixup in the locker room one night after the third annual All Cobra 3 on 3 tournament, and rather than getting Major Bludd's sweat sox, Dr Mindbender mistakenly stole Raptor's. The results are, needless to say, highly eccentric and highly irritating to say the least, though he has come in handy in cooking the books to hide the expenses incurred by Operation: MIndcrime

Results: Mixed

**************************************************************************************************

Du Baroness Von Verstandbieger - "Dr Genderbender"

Image

One of the prized acquisitions of Mindprowler was a hairbrush belonging to the Baroness. Combining her noble DNA with his own genetic material (with a simple chromosomal alteration) resulted in a lofty, ambitious clone. It is uncertain what the intent was in the creation of this clone. It is, however, disturbing to speculate beyond 'Just to see if it could be done'.

It has been interesting to note the significant personality differences between the female and the other Mindbender clones. The intent was to keep as much of the pure Mindbender personality and intellect intact, though the introduction of female hormones was an unknown variable, and is thought to be at the root of the inconsistencies. She is often the voice of reason in what could otherwise be considered a controlled environment of madness. She has a grounding effect, though generally considers the rest of the collective with indifference and sometimes disdain, as she believes them to be, for the most part, beneath her as she goes about her duties in silent exasperation.

Results: Success

**************************************************************************************************
Dr Mindbender: Undercover - Bronx Zoo (Special thanks to Kilcarr for the inspiration and the bio

Mindbender, realizing that A: Cobra Commander might catch on to his Mindcrime and B: needing raw Venom material under the radar decided to plant a mole (not a venom one) in a place where he could get free contraband DNA. The Bronx Zoo. Mindbender decided that a new clone would fill that role nicely but he needed two things a different look and enhanced leg strength for all the walking he would have to do (That place is HUGE).

To this nefarious end he created Incognitobender with a full head of hair to be less recognizable and ripped calves because they looked good too. (clone) planted himself in an employee role at the Bronx Zoo as an animal wrangler. There he gets access to all the DNA he can but for some reason unknown to Mindbender he is afraid of needles and thus has to get the DNA "manually".

So what do you guys think? This was another fun batch, though I have to admit, I am sort of disappointed with Gendebender... I was hoping for somethng... I dunno. Cooler. So she may get revisited someday, once my sculpting skills are improved. Also credit goes to Nova for the base idea on Sirbendor's staff/probe.

Up next: The return of Mindprowler and... THE MINDBOGGLER!

Dr Haz-matbender (Eco-Force Mindbender) is my favorite. Very creative work on all of them.

OUTRAGEOUSLY GAY!!!!

They all look great! I'm with John - Eco-Bender is my favorite, though Mindraptor gets extra points for purple feathers.

"New Load" indeed......:P

These are all cool ideas Lance. But you need one that combines Mindbender and Lance Sputnick(wrestler). :shifty: Oh and Sirbendor title could be changed to Chief Security Officer of the Lab to give him a good Lab job. ;-)

One critique. I think Sirbentor would work better than Sirbendor. :shifty:
