Looks like wave 1 is available at Hasbro toy store. So hope this means they will be showing up at the stores soon!

Unfortunately I doubt they will, HTS is showing them as shipping out on 5/12, so while I can't wait to get my Indy fix I'll have to hope someone lets some slid out early (which I'm sure they will be streetdated).

It's for pre-orders shipping May 12.

And five whole figs ain't all that impressive, especially since they're for pre-order and I'd think HTS would be able to pre-order *everything*.

i guess the alternative is repaints and variations, then we can have 55 'different' figures.

Nah, I'm saying that's not even the entire first wave. Where're the deluxe figs? Why doesn't HTS feel they can offer those items for pre-order? Do they think that they'll not be able to get them in stock at all?

It's just another example of HTS' general patheticness, imho. Just either go all fark-you to WalMart or knuckle under completely already. This half-assed half-n-half business is just a waste of time and effort since they're really only good for getting the Con exclusives - if you happen to be awake and available for the hour (at most) each one is for sale.

Agreed, there is a lot of things they can do better. I imagine the toys are already ready to roll, but being kept back due to the films release date. I would also imagine that everything would eventually be available on the site.

But, I could be wrong...

Maybe the deluxe figs won't be out til a little later date? Maybe its a test to see how popular these figs are? Give em a chance as we know how slow HTS is to do things maybe the deluxe figs will be available later.

Having the Deluxe figs come out later would be a departure from the standard wave procedure, where you get a set of basic figs and one or two deluxes every wave - especially as the initial push of first-time product. They can't seriously be worried that Indiana Jones toys are gonna fail, can they? It's not like Mattel is making them, lol.

I'm sure they are to some extent, or they probably would've been made in some form (aside from WDW exclusives) in the last 20+ years.

I agree with this but have to add it doens't make sense since these figures aren't even from this movie. Why not release them now or at least pretty soon to get interest rolling pre-release date. Let's be honest here. Figures in a toy isle is free advertising to kids, parents, and collectors. Once the movie hits people are going to want those figures. If wave 1 hits with the movie figures soon to follow you are going to see a lot of wave 1 peg warmers.

I'm sure they are, and with good reason. I honestly don't expect the Indy figs to do very well at all and wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get past wave 2. Kids don't care about Indy (I don't see any kids chomping at the bit for the Indy Legos) and it would surprise me to hear that enough adults were buying to keep the line afloat.

I've been wrong before though.

Aye, the average Tom, Dick and Harry...I mean Connor, Taylor and Hunter aren't familiar with Indy. And while we have a soft spot for him, they'll more than likely not have any interest in playing with a figure they probably see as old/older than thier grandfather.
