Look, I know I might irritate some people with this question, but is anyone else suffering from pegwarmers blocking new product?

I only have a WalMart in my town, though some work days I can swing by the TRU, target and walmarts in Savannah. My local store has full pegs... of Buzzers, troopers, siegies, hooded cobra commanders, and a couple of serpentors. As long as the pegs are full, it seems no new product is ordered, so I'm not able to find newer waves. I have more than enough troopers, more than enough seigies. This is also affecting SW figures.

Anybody else having this problem?

Ironic. Apparently not enough collectors in my area to keep pegs empty, yet the TRU only had a night watch and red ninja set for me because the manager told the scalper he couldn't buy every one them. She made him leave one of each. Good for me, puzzling for her?

Well, I'm pretty sure the case only has two of each, so buying a whole case doesn't really seem that unreasonable to me.

The only thing I see at Target is Stalker at one I went to. The wave after Armored CC hasn't come out I don't think yet so there's nothing to worry about just yet on that. You could always buy them and hook them up with people on the trade section as there were a few looking for those Armored CC's.

No, not Armored Cobra Commander, HOODED cobra commander. Wave 1 07 cobra commander. Three of them.

Know what the first major peg warmer was around here? Flint. No kidding. The K-mart near me (the only store that had 25th figures at the time) had three flints that just hung on the peg forever. Unfortunately, this led me to believe that Flint was going to be a super common figure and thus I customized mine (....because I thought it would be easier to get a new one than having to buy a whole new 5-pack if I customized my Duke) :verymad:

Right now, Hooded CC and Stalker seem to be pretty unpopular.

When I do see single carded joes, its Troopers and Buzzer. Of course, Hawk and Scarlett are the CP pegwarmers.

After more shipments happened of the single carded 5-packs, they're sort of sitting around. They're selling slowly at Wal-Mart, but not fast enough for them to hurry up and restock. At KB, what was left of the original 2 cases that came in were Buzzer and hooded Cobra Commander. Now that 2 more cases of that same series came in last week, only Stalker has sold. He was the "new crotch" version.

Everybody else is just getting the same cases it seems. I got lucky and found a single Rock n Roll and Torpedo at Target. I then found just 1 each of those 2 and a Armor Cobra Commander. So now I'm still looking for 2 more Armor Cobra Commanders and I guess I'll buy a Buzzer too so I'll be ready to make my custom Cobra Commander like others have. As of last week, Toys R Us in my area still have an empty shelf. I'd think their district manager would have chewed them out by now for that. It's been like that since the last week of January.

The only store around here that consistently has 25th Anni Joes in stock is a Target with 3 pegs of nothing but Stalkers and Buzzers,

I did snag a Tomax and Xamot comic pack there last night.

Closest thing to a peg warmer here are the 5 packs.

Buzzer and Hooded Cobra Commander will NEVER leave the pegs. There's like 12 Buzzers at work.

But the rest fly.

In my area of PA. the only peg warmers are the comic packs Scarlett/Hawk and SE/SS battle damaged, there aint no singles as of yet, they sell out or they didn't restock them yet. :-/

Once my local TRU stopped hiding their Joes and actually put them out on display, they've consistently sold out, so I've been able to find Waves 5 and 6 (well, part, anyway), as well as the new comic packs with relative ease.

The Target across the street (literally) has put out Wave 5, and those flew off the shelves (well, I helped :shifty: ), but Buzzer, Hooded Cobra Commander, and Stalker linger, as do the first comic packs.

You know, there was a Target here (185th in Hillsboro/Beaverton for OR collectors) that had three full pegs of fixed-crotch Stalkers for a while and suddenly, they were all gone.

The same thing has happened at other stores in the area. I don't get it. I know there are some scalpers active in the area since it's very hard to find fresh cases in the core of the metro area. What I don't get is the apparent phenomenon of people sweeping up massive amounts of pegwarmers.

Whatever, though. Helps us get to sell-through.

I'd say the pegwarmers around here are:

Comic Packs:
Battle damaged SE/SS
Duke/Cobra Commander

Singles:
Stalker (only warms pegs for a while)
Buzzer
Hooded Cobra Commander
Shipwreck

They all *eventually* sell through, though.
