Out of the four or five, "What's up with Duke's waist" questions, one actually got a decent answer. -- If the mold's constantly in use, they can't retool it.

Any guesses on what the Comicon fig might be? My money's on Starduster. The mold and parts are set up, so why not?

I wonder if the two exclusives at SDCC are going to be Zap and Short Fuze. They said they are working on them

hell no. I hope you're wrong on that idea, Dave, that would bring a lot venom down on Hasbro's heads... a lot of what I've read on the boards indicates it pissed off some people that Grunt is relegated to a TRU exclusive 3 pack as it is. ComicCon exclusives from every line usually prove a [LASER BLAST] to get long after that frenzy dies down.

Hasbro: Two out of five isn't bad.

Interesting..which 2?

I hope Blowtorch and Mutt. But I bet one will be Wet-Suit as he can resue parts from Torpedo and/or an Eel should Hasbro be cool enough to release that figure.

As for the comic-con exclusive - Starduster would be easy, but is he on par with PDD? I'll go out on limb and say Cobra de Aco. They have all the parts for that figure, too.

I could see them making something like a 25th Starduster or 25th Super Trooper for the con exclusive. basically a figure that might not make it in mass retail but would still be special to collectors and something other convention attendees would recognize and make them want to come by their booth.

My money on the two is Zarana and Wetsuit.

As for the SDCC, didn't they reference it as a follow up to Destro? Maybe a leopard print Baroness?

Yay!

Hopefully BOTH will also be available at the Joe Con.

I hate SDCC.

I just read somewhere else last night, on one of the boards other Q&A's (can't remember which site right now) that one of the exclusives is going to be 3.75" and the other won't be. So that knocks out both Zap and Short Fuze. Hasbro has done a pretty good job so far, although the Grunt figure and move was pretty dumb. Hopefully they aren't returning to their "old" ways of antagonism with their client base.

On one of the leaked Walmart lists Mutt is on there. So if that is correct then it leaves Wet Suit, Blowtorch, Thrasher or Zarana. I think we'll definatley see a Wet Suit at some point. They'll reuse Torpedo's body (oh Eel was on another leaked Walmart list) They can make him with Snake Eyes upper arms and Xamot or Tomax lower and your done. I'm kind of hoping for Blowtorch but who knows.
