Going off of information i got from the 2nd to last president of Kenner, before Hasbro bought them.
I know that MASK was a fairly successful line for them. I was heavy into that show/toys when i was a kid. I mean NUTZ into that show. I had all the toys, had the VHS tapes, and rented the ones my parents wouldnt buy from the local video rental.

I think in this time and age, o kids liking shows based on Anime/robotic type movement. If the Show was done better it might last. Watching episodes now, those were dumbed down compared to the shows on around the same time ( Joe / Transformers ). Now adays shows are dumbed down for the kids.. so i think if they re-inveted mask for the new mullenium with newer vehicles and outfits, but based on the same characters and storyline ( good guys vs. evil tresure hunters)
i think it would work.

why not?... A new camaro with gullwings.. hasbro has GM's love.
i mean look at what vehicles they were in the 80's.. Camaro, Corvette, Feiro, GTO...
you could def upgrade and re-do the line.. its idea was great.. get the enemy with Illusion.
which is wear current Military technology is know heading.

i think its a great idea.. why not let the joes use the Illusion MASK technology to fool cobra?

* just random thinkingness.

I need to make a MASK correction here. As a friend of mine who is very much into MASK more than myself (and very intrigued by this "Agent Trakker" figure) pointed out, the masks the characters wore did not control their vehicles. Instead, they granted the wearers special powers. Some fired various beams, one allowed its wearer to fly, another projected holograms! In the cartoon, that is. Not the actual toy. This ain't Visionaries! :-D

Wow you guys are going to be epically disappointed if that just turns out to be a misspelling of Tracker....

Meanwhile, as much as I hated the character, I'm very glad we're getting a Wraith figure. I loved his design and he'll make great custom fodder.

I'm just glad to see the full 2008 lineup officially announced. It will make my customizing a lot easier knowing what's coming out so I won't waste parts on what Hasbro's putting out.

And that lineup looks pretty good to me.

Add me to the list of people excited for this possibility. MASK is one of the many 80s lines that I collected at the time and still grab occasionally.

I think the Joe community had a similar excitement when the General Mayhem set was announced.

I wouldn't want every 80s property to have its turn in the Joe line, but MASK is a fit imo. I've always felt that the Joe line pushed a great standard in articulation and detail in the scale I prefer. They did it in the 80s and are doing it now. So if they created a 3 3/4" Mask line, I'd prefer to see it be as similar as possible to the way the current Joes are made.

I think it would be cool to see a 3 3/4" Mask line outside of G.I.Joe. If this is a small cross-over, I'll be happy with it. It certainly would give new purpose to the Anti-Venom Task Force. :)

I'm wondering (assuming it is Matt Trakker) what the corner of the card will read. It certainly isn't based on the Joe cartoon or comic and it isn't 25th anniversary.

As to the poll, it was a difficult choice to make. There are 11 variations of Duke, CC, and SE to choose from, so I had to drop one to get to 10. Sorry CC-w/-White-Stripe, I couldn't vote for you.

Anyone wanna tell me who to vote for? I can't imagine anyone I'd want. Duke gets a vote so they can fix his crotch though...

I figured I'd vote for all army builders so everyone would be happy. As for the figures I want, well...I already HAVE them so I don't need to see them again, unless they are an improvement.

For example, if we all vote for Snake Eyes and Timber, it's a good chance for them to give us the all black version like they said they were "considering."

And personally, I'd like to see the Joe version of Storm Shadow redone...with proper arms, and more importantly, those new lower legs from the SS/FF comic pack that look like they were specifically sculpted for SS version 2. I know it's not a character high on anyone else's list, but if they FIX it, that's what I'd want.

Too bad there's nowhere on the voting form for us to give suggestions as to HOW exactly we'd like to see the re-releases "redecoed."

Matt Trakker can take a hike.

There are at least 100 assorted Joes and cobras I'd rather get then some dude from M.A.S.K.

Since Hasbro has already decided to give me Wraith (a generic fan fiction bad guy) figure before giving me a Mindbender, or Raptor, or Alley Viper, or Night Viper. I'd rather get an actual Joe character then some fanboy nod to a dead toyline.

TOTALLY AGREE'D!!!!!

Let Mask get its own line in 3 3/4" form. This is the GI JOE line. All other lines can have their own resurgance in thier own line name.

Woah, when were you dudes born to get such a hate-on for MASK? I'm guessing younger than 25...

Bombing Jackhammer with Thunderhawk's undercarriage bombs while winging it back to Bunker Hill to take out Switchblade consumed many an afternoon.

Wow, just typing that sentence made me all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

Nope I'm 37 and remember MASK very well. Its just not a JOE line and it needs its own line to do well, NOT be included in the Joe line to take away from Joes or Cobras that won't be produced.

Come on into chat and we'll explain it. ;)

29 actually and it's not mask hate as much as it is a GI Joe toy I'll be buying at walmart. Not a M.A.S.K toy.

There are tons of joes that could use a figure over dewd from M.A.S.K. If so many fans out there want him then start a great big letter writing campaign to get mask back on the shelves.
